Satellite Images Reveal Damage at US-Linked Bases in Kuwait and Bahrain Following Iranian Strikes
Satellite imagery and open-source intelligence assessments have revealed significant damage at military and civilian facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain following Iranian missile and drone strikes
West Asia, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Newly released satellite imagery has revealed the extent of the damage inflicted on facilities linked to the United States in Kuwait and Bahrain following Iranian missile and drone strikes launched in retaliation for recent American military actions against Iranian territory.
Images analyzed by open-source intelligence observers show that a drone and aircraft shelter at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait was destroyed during the attacks. The base is known to host American military operations and logistical support activities in the country.
The strikes form part of a broader escalation between Iran and the United States that has expanded across the Gulf region amid ongoing confrontations related to the Strait of Hormuz and American military operations near Iranian territory.
Damage Reported at Kuwait Airport and Military Facilities
Additional satellite imagery has also revealed structural damage to Terminal 1 of Kuwait International Airport.
Images show a large breach in the upper section of the terminal building following the missile and drone attacks. Reports indicate that two civilians were killed and dozens more injured during the incident, while airport operations were disrupted and flights were suspended or diverted as authorities assessed the damage.
The exact cause of the damage to the terminal remains disputed.
Open-source analysts noted that video footage from the night of the attacks appeared to show a malfunctioning PAC-3 Patriot interceptor changing course before striking an area inside Kuwait. The assessment follows statements from Iranian officials denying that Iranian missiles targeted civilian facilities.
Separately, satellite heat-map data released by NASA indicated fire activity at Bahrain’s Al-Sakhir Air Base after strikes attributed to Iran.
US Reinforces Regional Bases Amid Escalation
At the same time, military tracking observers reported increased American logistical activity in Kuwait.
According to open-source flight monitoring accounts, at least four US military cargo aircraft landed at Kuwait International Airport within a twenty-four-hour period, suggesting ongoing efforts to reinforce American military positions and sustain operations throughout the Gulf.

The reported airlift activity comes as US forces continue military operations in the region and maintain a heightened state of alert across their bases.
Iranian Strikes Follow American Attacks
The Iranian strikes were launched after reports of American attacks near Iran’s Qeshm Island and incidents involving Iranian shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iranian media reported that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targeted American military facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain in response to attacks against an Iranian communications facility near Qeshm Island, as well as actions against Iranian interests in the Gulf.
US officials claimed that most incoming missiles and drones were intercepted, while confirming that military bases across the region remain on high alert.
The latest exchange has further intensified tensions across West Asia, while ceasefire efforts remain stalled and navigation through the Strait of Hormuz continues to face significant disruption following months of conflict. (PW)
