Russian Diplomat to Trump: Threatening Iranians Does Not Work
Russia’s envoy in Vienna says Washington still fails to understand that threats and blackmail cannot force Iran into submission.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Russia’s representative to international organizations in Vienna reacted to the threatening remarks made by U.S. President Donald Trump against Iran, stating that threats and blackmail have no effect on Iranian decision-making.
Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s representative to international organizations in Vienna, responded to what he described as the contradictory behavior of the U.S. president, who during negotiations with Iran has repeatedly resorted to threatening rhetoric and crude language in an effort to pressure Tehran into accepting Washington’s maximalist demands.
In a post published on his X account, Ulyanov wrote:
“The United States still does not understand that blackmailing and intimidation do not work with Iranians.”
Iran Says Washington Failed on the Battlefield
Trump, who during the illegal war against Iran openly threatened to commit war crimes against the Iranian people under the pretext of the “overnight destruction of a civilization” and attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities, warned again on Thursday that Tehran would suffer greatly if it did not soon sign an agreement.
The remarks came as indirect exchanges between Iran and the United States continue through Pakistani mediation aimed at reaching a framework agreement to end the war.
In recent days, Trump has simultaneously claimed that there is no deadline for a deal while also threatening that aggressive attacks against Iran would resume if an agreement is not reached.
Iranian officials have repeatedly stressed that they will safeguard the interests and rights of the Iranian nation, emphasizing that Trump will not obtain through diplomacy what he failed to achieve through military aggression on the battlefield. (PW)
