Russia Condemns Calls for Attacks on Iran’s Peaceful Nuclear Facilities
Zakharova warns against military strikes on IAEA-monitored sites, citing risks to Middle East stability
Russia, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The Russian Foreign Ministry has voiced strong opposition to calls for military attacks on Iran’s peaceful nuclear infrastructure. Speaking at a briefing, Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova emphasized Moscow's unwavering stance.
"Russia strongly condemns calls for using military strikes to resolve misunderstandings and contradictions regarding Iran’s peaceful nuclear program," Zakharova stated.
Russia Reiterates Warning Against Destabilizing Military Escapades
Zakharova noted that Russia had repeatedly warned against military escapades targeting Iran, stressing that such actions pose significant threats to regional stability and global security.
"We cannot allow military strikes on nuclear sites guaranteed by the IAEA to become commonplace and a routine international practice," she warned.
"Attacks on these kinds of facilities cannot be ignored as they carry devastating risks."
The remarks follow a recent statement by U.S. President Donald Trump, who said that if Iran relaunched its nuclear program, the United States would quickly obliterate it. (PW)
