Rezaei: Ceasefire Extension Not in Iran’s Interest — Launchers Locked on Enemy Warships
Extending the ceasefire is absolutely not in our interest. Pressure must be intensified. Our launchers are now locked onto enemy warships.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Senior Iranian official Major General Mohsen Rezaei emphasized that extending the current ceasefire does not serve Iran’s strategic interests, stressing that sustained pressure remains essential in confronting the United States.
Speaking during a live televised program on Wednesday night, Rezaei outlined the latest regional developments, the position of the Resistance Front, and the broader trajectory of Iran’s confrontation with global powers, making clear that the current pause in hostilities should not be mistaken for a resolution.
“Extending the ceasefire is absolutely not in our interest. Pressure must be intensified. Our launchers are now locked onto enemy warships.”
Ceasefire Is a Temporary Pause, Not the End of War
Rezaei defined the current ceasefire as a controlled and temporary condition rather than a genuine end to the conflict, describing it as a “military silence” shaped by ongoing considerations.
“This is not a real ceasefire. It is a military silence. A true ceasefire only has meaning once all our rights are fulfilled.”
He stressed that any lasting cessation of hostilities must follow the full realization of Iran’s conditions, not precede them, reinforcing that the current situation remains part of an ongoing confrontation.
At the same time, he emphasized that the war itself has not ended, warning against any perception that the conflict has reached its conclusion.
“The war is by no means over. The Resistance Front has joined us and formed a unified front.”
Iran Acts from Strength as U.S. Position Weakens
Rezaei presented Iran’s position as rooted in strength, pointing to battlefield developments that have altered the balance of power in the region.
He highlighted what he described as the exposure of U.S. military vulnerabilities, including damage to advanced systems and strikes on multiple long-standing American bases, while also noting the inability of U.S. forces to secure passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
“The reality of Iran’s victory and America’s defeat is acknowledged even by their own generals.”
He also pointed to the scale of Iran’s popular capacity, emphasizing the presence of millions prepared to stand in defense of the country.
“I take pride in a nation with 25 million devoted volunteers.”
Trump Is the Embodiment of Instability
Rezaei addressed U.S. President Donald Trump in firm terms, pointing to repeated reversals in Washington’s positions as evidence of inconsistency at the highest level of U.S. leadership.
He highlighted that the United States had already accepted Iran’s proposed conditions before attempting to step back from them, describing this pattern as a clear sign of unpredictability in Washington’s conduct.
“Trump claims that Iranians are unstable, while in reality, he himself is the embodiment of instability. You accepted our conditions — then you withdrew. You speak of unpredictability, but it is you who tore up agreements signed by all.”
Rezaei contrasted this with Iran’s position, emphasizing that Tehran approaches negotiations from a place of firmness and principle, particularly in defending its rights and national interests.
“Yes, we are tough. We are firm in securing our rights and in upholding justice for the Iranian people. The era of plunder during the Qajar and Pahlavi periods is over. We will compel the return of the rights of this nation.”
He further made clear that Iran’s stance is not shaped by external pressure, but by its own defined framework, reflecting what he described as a shift in the balance of negotiations.
“We will not retreat from our conditions under any pressure.”
According to Rezaei, this marks a fundamental change from previous negotiation rounds, where terms were imposed on Iran, to a situation where Tehran now sets its own conditions and expects them to be fully respected.
Clear Warning: Escalation Will Carry Heavy Consequences
Rezaei issued a direct warning regarding U.S. military presence in the region, particularly at sea, stressing that Iranian forces remain fully prepared.
“Our launchers are locked onto enemy warships. We will sink them all.”
He added that any attempt at ground escalation would result in a decisive setback for Washington.
“If American forces step onto our land, it would be ideal for us. We would capture thousands.”
He further stressed that any large-scale military operation that fails to achieve decisive objectives would ultimately result in failure.
As negotiations continue under uncertain conditions, Tehran’s position remains firm: the current ceasefire is temporary, pressure will continue, and Iran will not step back from its conditions. (PW)

He’s right, they can’t trust Trump, no one can. He sent a tweet his latest tweets were a loyalty test, and his supporters failed the test. Unhinged, he takes responsibility for nothing and makes excuses.
