Reza Pahlavi Officially Indicted in Iran on Terrorism, Espionage, and National Security Charges
Tehran’s prosecutor announced an indictment against Reza Pahlavi on multiple terrorism and national security charges, referring the case to court after completing a judicial investigation.
IRAN, PUREWILAYAH.COM – Tehran Prosecutor Ali Salehi announced that Iranian judicial authorities have issued an indictment against Reza Pahlavi on multiple terrorism and national security charges, formally referring the case to a competent court for trial.
According to the prosecutor, the indictment followed a complaint filed by the Office of the Prosecutor General and the Tehran Prosecutor’s Office. The case was investigated by Branch 20 of Tehran’s Prosecutor’s Office, which handles international affairs.
Salehi said the judicial investigation included the collection of evidence, reports from relevant authorities, and other legal procedures before prosecutors concluded the case was ready for trial.
Charges Cover Recent Unrest and Armed Conflict
The Tehran prosecutor said the investigation examined a series of alleged actions attributed to Reza Pahlavi over recent years, including during the nationwide unrest in Iran, the terrorist attacks of Dey 1404 (December 2025–January 2026), and activities connected to the recent war involving the Islamic Republic.
Based on the indictment, the principal charges include:
Corruption on Earth through organizing, directing, and leading networks aimed at undermining Iran’s security and the foundations of the Islamic Republic.
Directing, commanding, organizing, and financing terrorist and violent activities.
Cooperation with hostile governments during armed conflict and committing crimes against Iran’s external security.
Espionage and intelligence cooperation with foreign intelligence and military services.
Ordering or facilitating crimes against individuals, including homicide, intentional bodily harm, and other offenses linked to acts of violence.
Ordering or facilitating the widespread destruction of public, private, and state property, as well as national infrastructure.
Organizing violent actions, arming opposition groups, and directing attacks against public security and government facilities.
Incitement to violence, rebellion, armed conflict, killings, and disruption of public order.
Propaganda activities against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Prosecutor Says No Suspect Is Beyond Judicial Reach
Salehi stated that Iran’s judiciary considers crimes against national security, territorial integrity, and the lives and property of Iranian citizens subject to prosecution regardless of where suspects reside.
He added that anyone found to have planned, directed, financed, supported, or participated in crimes against the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Iranian nation would face judicial proceedings wherever legal jurisdiction and sufficient evidence exist.
The prosecutor also said Iranian judicial authorities would pursue such cases through all available national and international legal mechanisms, adding that no suspect would be immune from prosecution because of residence, nationality, or political status. (PW)
