Resistance to Deliver Harsh Response to Zionist Attack on Yemen: IRGC
IRGC warns of decisive retaliation after deadly Israeli strike kills Yemeni Prime Minister and ministers in Sana’a
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has condemned the Israeli regime’s recent fatal airstrike on Yemen’s capital, Sana’a, describing it as a “brazen war crime” and an example of state-sponsored terrorism.
The strike, carried out last Thursday, claimed the lives of Prime Minister Ahmad al-Rahawi, several cabinet ministers, and senior aides of the Government of Change and Construction.
In a statement released Sunday, the IRGC stressed that the attack constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and a crime against humanity. It accused Israel of perpetrating the act with full US backing and benefiting from the silence of the international community.
Accusations of Inhumanity and Expansionism
The IRGC denounced the Zionist regime’s “inhuman and expansionist” nature, pointing to its ongoing acts of aggression, terror, and genocide—particularly in Gaza—that threaten both regional and global security.
The statement underlined the moral and legal responsibility of Israel’s supporters and those who remain silent in the face of such crimes.
Warning of a Crushing Retaliation
According to the IRGC, Islamic resistance forces in the region, especially the resilient Yemeni nation, will deliver a decisive response to the Zionist regime. This retaliation, it said, would be grounded in faith, determination, and the backing of free nations worldwide.
The Guards called on Islamic governments, international organizations, and human rights bodies to end their silence and take firm, practical measures to support Yemen and the oppressed people of Gaza, with the aim of halting Israel’s ongoing crimes and aggression.
The Ansarullah movement confirmed in a Saturday statement that al-Rahawi, who served as prime minister in areas under its control, was targeted alongside other ministers during a workshop in Sana’a.
“We shall take vengeance, and we shall forge from the depths of wounds a victory,” Mahdi al-Mashat, Chairman of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, saying it in a video message.
The Israeli regime has repeatedly targeted Ansarullah positions in recent months. The Yemeni group has launched missile, drone, and naval attacks against the occupied territories and Western vessels in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden—operations it says are in support of Palestinians in Gaza. (PW)
