Resistance Leaders in Beirut: Al-Aqsa Flood Redefined the Palestinian Cause, Gaza Emerged Stronger
The resistance leaders collectively emphasized that the operation on October 7 marked a strategic turning point in the history of the resistance, restoring global focus on the Palestinian struggle.
Lebanon, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Prominent leaders of the Palestinian resistance movements — including Dr. Khalil al-Hayya of Hamas, Ziyad Nakhaleh of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and Jamil Mazhar of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine — participate in the 34th Arab National Conference in Beirut, where they delivered unified messages emphasizing resistance, unity, and collective responsibility in confronting U.S.–Israeli aggression.
The conference, attended by political figures, scholars, and representatives from various Arab movements, focused on strengthening the Arab and Islamic stance against Zionist expansionism and reaffirming the centrality of Palestine as the core cause of the Ummah.
The resistance leaders collectively emphasized that the Al-Aqsa Flood operation on October 7 marked a strategic turning point in the history of the resistance, restoring global focus on the Palestinian struggle and exposing the full extent of Israeli brutality.
Khalil al-Hayya: October 7 Marked a Turning Point in the Struggle Against Zionist Occupation
Dr. Khalil al-Hayya, head of the Hamas movement in Gaza, stated that the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation was a direct response to decades of Zionist crimes and attempts to erase the Palestinian identity.
“October 7 restored the true narrative of the Palestinian cause,” al-Hayya said, “and proved that our people will never surrender nor disappear, regardless of the scale of aggression.”
He affirmed that despite massive destruction, the Israeli war failed to break Gaza’s will, instead fueling greater determination to resist and defend Palestinian dignity.
Al-Hayya added that the battle of Al-Aqsa Flood reshaped the entire regional equation, reviving the Arab and Islamic consciousness of the Palestinian struggle. He also called for legal accountability for Israel’s war crimes, affirming that injustice and occupation are temporary, while freedom is inevitable.
Ziyad Nakhaleh: Gaza Faced a U.S.-Led Global Coalition and Remained Unbroken
Ziyad Nakhaleh, Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, emphasized that Gaza had faced a U.S.-led international coalition during the recent war but emerged steadfast, armed, and undefeated.
He attributed this resilience to the unity among resistance factions, especially the Al-Quds Brigades and Al-Qassam Brigades, describing their coordination as the decisive factor in achieving historic endurance.
“The unity of resistance is the foundation of victory,” Nakhaleh said, calling for a unified Palestinian national front and a comprehensive Arab initiative to consolidate this unity.
He warned that what is unfolding in the West Bank represents “a genuine battle that threatens Palestinian existence,” urging all factions to close ranks and resist the Zionist project of fragmentation.
Jamil Mazhar: The War on Gaza Is a Genocidal Campaign to Erase Palestinian Existence
Jamil Mazhar, Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), described Israel’s ongoing assault as “a war of extermination” aimed at obliterating Palestinian existence and dragging the Arab world into normalization and dependency.
Speaking at the opening session, Mazhar saluted “steadfast, fighting, and betrayed Gaza — the Gaza that clings to its Arab identity.”
He praised the endurance of children and mothers who have endured unimaginable suffering yet refused to utter a single word of surrender.
“The steadfastness of Gaza, Jerusalem, Nablus, and Jenin keeps the banner of Arab dignity raised,” he said, “defying the enemy’s plan to confine Palestinians into isolated enclaves.”
Mazhar stressed that the steadfastness of Gaza and the mobilization of Arab peoples have re-centered the Palestinian cause, asserting that the Zionist entity will always remain the enemy of every Arab and free human being.
He called for collective, organized action to revive the Arab nationalist project as “the beating heart of the Ummah and its shield against disintegration and foreign domination.”
Resistance Leaders Thank Allies and Call for Continued Unity
The resistance leaders concluded by expressing gratitude to nations and movements that have stood with the Palestinian people — including Iran, Lebanon, Yemen, Egypt, and Qatar — acknowledging their steadfast support on political, humanitarian, and military fronts.
They agreed that true victory lies in maintaining unity, strengthening coordination among resistance fronts, and upholding the shared vision of liberation across the Arab and Islamic world.
“The steadfastness of Gaza and the unity of the resistance have redefined the Palestinian cause in global consciousness,” they declared, “and together, the Resistance Front will continue until liberation is achieved.” (PW)
