Qalibaf: No Negotiations with the U.S., Full Punishment for Aggressors
Iranian officials reject claims of talks with Washington, stating that the outcome of the war will be determined on the battlefield—not by Trump’s tweets.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, stated that no negotiations have taken place with the United States, emphasizing that the Iranian people demand a decisive and punishing response against aggressors.
In a message posted on X, Qalibaf wrote: “Our people demand the complete and regret-inducing punishment of the aggressors.”
He added that all officials stand firmly behind the Leader and the people until this objective is achieved.
Qalibaf stressed: “No negotiations with the United States have taken place.”
He also dismissed circulating reports of talks as “fake news,” stating they are being spread to manipulate financial and oil markets and to help the United States and Israel escape the quagmire they are trapped in.
Battlefield, Not Trump’s Tweets, Will Decide the War
Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, echoed the same position, stating that Trump’s statements and social media posts should not be used to assess the course of the war.
“The outcome of this battle will be determined on the battlefield, not by Trump’s tweets or his rhetoric,” Rezaei said.
He added that despite Trump’s claims of leading the “strongest army in the world,” the U.S. is now appealing to other countries for support—efforts that have largely failed.
According to Rezaei, other states are reluctant to intervene, fearing they would face the same fate as American and Zionist forces.
U.S. and Allies Struggle to Maintain Security
Rezaei further stated that the enemy had previously promised security to Persian Gulf states while exploiting their resources, but is now unable to guarantee the safety of even its own embassies and military bases in the region.
He added that enemy air defense systems have been degraded, and that U.S. naval forces are maintaining a distance of over 1,000 kilometers from Iran’s territorial waters, lacking the confidence to approach closer.
Iranian officials continue to assert that developments on the ground—not political messaging—will ultimately determine the trajectory and outcome of the conflict. (PW)
