Palestinian Resistance Mourns Martyrdom of Hezbollah Commander Sayyed Abu Ali
Factions hail Haitham Ali al-Tabatabai as a pillar of the Resistance Axis and condemn Israel’s targeted assassination in Beirut
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Palestinian Resistance factions issued strong, unified statements mourning the martyrdom of senior Hezbollah commander Haitham Ali al-Tabatabai, known as Sayyed Abu Ali, following the Israeli airstrike on a residential apartment in Beirut’s Southern Suburb.
The attack—widely condemned as a grave escalation and a direct violation of all norms—also killed and wounded several resistance fighters and civilians.
Hamas: A Treacherous Assault Aimed at Dragging the Region Into War
The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas issued a strong condemnation of the strike, describing it as a “treacherous act of aggression and a blatant violation of Lebanese sovereignty.”
In its statement, Hamas stressed that:
“Targeting a densely populated civilian district in broad daylight exposes the nature of the organized terrorism practiced by the Zionist occupation, and its attempt to impose new equations and pressure Resistance forces.”
Hamas affirmed its full solidarity with Lebanon, stressing the country’s legitimate right to defend its land and people.
The movement added that the blood of the martyrs “will only strengthen Lebanese unity in confronting U.S.–Israeli hegemony.”
Hamas extended condolences to the families of the martyrs and wished a speedy recovery to the wounded, emphasizing:
“The will of the Resistance will remain stronger than all forms of aggression.”
Hamas’ Qassam Brigades: A Commander Who Stood Firm with Palestine
The Ezzeddine al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, honored Sayyed Abu Ali as a commander who never hesitated to support the Palestinian struggle, especially during the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood.
“With the highest expressions of pride, honor, and certainty in Allah’s near victory, the Qassam Brigades mourn the great Islamic Resistance commander in Lebanon, Haitham Ali al-Tabatabai,” the statement said.
The Brigades reaffirmed that Sayyed Abu Ali played a key and enduring role in strengthening the regional front confronting the Israeli occupation, and in standing with the Palestinian people during decisive moments of confrontation.
Palestinian Islamic Jihad: Assassinations Will Not Bring ’Israel’ Victory
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) and its armed wing Saraya al-Quds also issued statements mourning the commander and condemning the Israeli attack as part of an ongoing campaign of political assassinations engineered by Tel Aviv and backed by Washington.
PIJ emphasized:
“We extend to His Eminence Sheikh Naim Qassem, the leadership of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, its cadres, supporters, and the Lebanese people our warmest and sincerest condolences on the martyrdom of the great jihadi commander Haitham Ali al-Tabatabai.”
The movement described the airstrike as evidence of the savagery of the usurping entity, adding that the occupation’s serial massacres across Lebanon, Gaza, and the West Bank have failed to achieve any strategic results.
PIJ stated:
“These assassinations will not bring ‘Israel’ victory nor ensure its survival. The immense pain caused to families will only deepen the will to resist.”
Saraya al-Quds: A Pillar of the Axis of Resistance
In a separate statement, Saraya al-Quds described Sayyed Abu Ali as one of the pillars of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon and a symbol of steadfastness across the Axis of Resistance.
“With the highest expressions of jihad, resistance, and steadfastness, Saraya al-Quds mourns to our struggling Palestinian people, our Arab and Islamic Ummah, and to our brothers in Hezbollah, the martyr and great jihadi commander Al-Hajj Haitham Ali al-Tabatabai.”
The group said the commander ascended as a martyr on the Path to Al-Quds, following decades of direct frontline resistance, and reaffirmed its commitment to continue the struggle until full liberation of Palestinian land.
Saraya al-Quds concluded:
“The enemy knows that its bloody policies will never weaken the Resistance, but will only reinforce its adherence to the rights of its peoples, foremost among them the right to resist aggression.”
A Unified Front Against Israeli and American Aggression
The statements from Gaza-based factions reflect a unified and unwavering position:
the assassination of Sayyed Abu Ali will not deter the Resistance, but instead intensify regional determination to confront the Zionist entity and its chief backer, the United States.
His martyrdom, they declared, strengthens the spirit of struggle across Palestine and Lebanon, reaffirming the shared destiny of all forces resisting Israeli occupation and American intervention in West Asia. (PW)
