North Korea Slams U.S. Arms Export Policy as War-Mongering
Pyongyang criticizes Trump’s executive order easing weapons export regulations, accusing Washington of fueling global conflicts
North Korea, PUREWILAYAH.COM - North Korea strongly denounced the United States on Sunday following President Donald Trump's recent executive order easing restrictions on arms exports. In a statement released by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Pyongyang accused the U.S. of turning arms sales into both a business enterprise and a tool of hegemonic foreign policy.
“For the United States, arms sale is not only merely a money-making space to meet monetary desire but also a major means of supporting the realization of aggressive foreign policy, the hegemony-seeking one," the KCNA declared.
The criticism comes in response to Trump’s April 9 order, which calls for a review of existing military export rules, aiming to simplify and boost overseas sales of U.S. defense equipment.
U.S. Fueling Wars in Ukraine and Gaza
The KCNA claimed that Washington has been the primary source of weapons flowing into conflict zones, notably Ukraine and Gaza. According to the statement, U.S. arms exports have surged in recent years, allegedly empowering “war maniacs” across Europe and the Middle East.
“The U.S. measure to ease arms export regulations precisely means the one to expand wars,” the state media outlet said, accusing Washington of prolonging and enlarging wars under the guise of diplomacy.
KCNA concluded that while the U.S. pretends to promote peace, it continues to transfer lethal military equipment to proxy forces, effectively intensifying global conflicts. (PW)
