Netanyahu Declares Ground Invasion, Gaza Facing Relentless Bombardment
Mass displacement intensifies as Israeli forces push deeper into Gaza neighborhoods with relentless bombardment
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday confirmed a ground incursion into Gaza City. According to Yedioth Ahronoth, officials said the invasion had begun on the city’s outskirts and would proceed gradually.
Yet analysts note that Israeli ground operations have been ongoing for weeks, with repeated incursions into Tel al-Sabra, al-Zaytoun, Jabalia, and al-Nuzlah. Each time, occupation units carried out heavy destruction before withdrawing, leaving behind shattered communities.
Tactics of Destruction and Displacement
The Israeli army is employing a “fire push” strategy, unleashing relentless air and artillery strikes on high-rise buildings and residential blocks to force Palestinians into mass flight. Witnesses describe entire families fleeing under bombardment, many with no means of transport or money to relocate.
Explosive robots and armored vehicles have been deployed in urban areas, further intensifying destruction. According to local sources, the cost of relocation has risen to nearly $1,000 per family—an impossible burden for most residents trapped under siege.
IOF Positions Inside Gaza City
Reports indicate Israeli occupation forces are concentrated in three main zones:
Sheikh Radwan (Northwest Gaza): Troops advanced from Jabalia’s al-Nuzlah and al-Zarqa neighborhoods, shelling surrounding areas and clearing wide residential zones.
Coastal Strip (al-Karama & al-Sudaniya): Limited incursions along the coast have been accompanied by brutal nighttime raids, with massacres reported in the General Security zone and al-Shati camp.
South of Tel al-Hawa (Southern Gaza City): Tanks advanced near the al-Na’im oil station and Dahdouh Street, detonating armored explosive vehicles. Heavy shelling covers Sheikh Ajlin, al-Khor Square, and Street 8.
Across all fronts, Israeli forces have reduced large sections of Gaza City to rubble while pressing forward under heavy firepower.
Humanitarian Catastrophe Unfolding
More than 850,000 Palestinians remain inside Gaza City, many unable to escape. Al-Rashid Street, a main evacuation route, is choked with displaced families, often blocked for hours.
Residents describe sleepless nights under constant shelling, the ground shaking from tanks, and children traumatized by the relentless explosions. Aid groups warn that the assault deepens Gaza’s humanitarian catastrophe, trapping civilians in an enclave of devastation. (PW)
