Netanyahu Boasts of Destroying 50 Gaza Towers, Threatens More as Israeli Strikes Intensify

With the backing of the United States and Western allies, the Israeli occupation has continued a campaign of mass killings and collective starvation in Gaza.

Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The war criminal wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC), Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has claimed responsibility for demolishing 50 residential towers in Gaza City over two days, vowing to destroy more and continue forced displacement plans.

In a recorded speech on Monday evening, Netanyahu said:

“A few days ago, I promised you that we would demolish the towers in Gaza City… and this is exactly what we are doing. In the past two days, 50 such towers have fallen.”

He described the ongoing destruction as “just a prelude and preparation for the main operation.” His remarks came alongside warnings for residents to “leave now,” ahead of what he called a large-scale ground “maneuver.”

Escalation in Gaza City

Israeli occupation forces intensified their offensive on Monday, targeting Gaza City with heavy airstrikes and artillery bombardment.

Local reports indicated that fighter jets struck a residential building next to the already-destroyed al-Israa Tower on al-Wehda Street. In the northwest, heavy artillery pounded the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, while occupation forces deployed a booby-trapped robot to demolish homes. Additional air raids were reported in northern Gaza City.

Palestinian sources reported casualties, including martyrs and wounded, after Israeli drones opened fire near Kissufim, east of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.

Mass Killings Amid Western Support

With the backing of the United States and Western allies, the Israeli occupation has continued a campaign of mass killings and collective starvation in Gaza.

According to Palestinian authorities, more than 64,522 people have been killed and over 163,000 injured, including thousands who were targeted while seeking aid or suffering from starvation.

Hamas condemned Netanyahu’s speech as “a public exercise of the crime of forced displacement,” warning that the threat underscored the scale of the ongoing aggression.

Israeli Channel 12 reported that the occupation military is considering redeploying some units from Gaza to the occupied West Bank amid concerns over growing resistance operations there.

Palestinian Resistance Ongoing Operations

The al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’ armed wing, said its fighters confronted occupation forces near Salah al-Din Mosque and al-Zaytoun Clinic on August 31, confirming successful strikes after returning from the frontlines.

They also reported that on August 30, fighters destroyed a Merkava tank and a D9 military bulldozer on Street 8 southwest of al-Zaytoun using a Yassin-105 shell and a Shawaz explosive device.

Coordination between al-Qassam and the al-Quds Brigades — the military wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad — has expanded, with joint attacks on Israeli command posts in Khan Younis, Rafah, and Gaza City using mortars, anti-tank missiles, and improvised explosive devices.

Israeli military sources have admitted the growing effectiveness of Palestinian resistance tactics, noting that fighters are now “more organized in combat” and increasingly bold in confronting occupation forces. (PW)
