Nakhaleh Thanks Iran and the Axis, Affirms Resistance Still Stands Armed and Proud
Palestinian Islamic Jihad Chief Praises Iran, Yemen, and Lebanon for Supporting Gaza’s Endurance Against a U.S.-Led War
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Palestinian Islamic Jihad Secretary-General Ziyad Nakhaleh reaffirmed that the resistance remains on the battlefield, fully armed and unwavering, after two years of brutal aggression on Gaza led by the United States and its allies in support of the Zionist entity.
Speaking at the 34th Arab National Conference in Beirut, Nakhaleh declared that the Palestinian people emerged from a historic battle, burdened with pain and loss yet unbroken, dignified, and victorious.
“We came out of this battle with our weapons in our hands, our fighters in the field, and our people with heads held high — proud and honored,”
Nakhaleh said.
He emphasized that the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and the heroism of the fighters forced the occupation and the international community to accept a ceasefire agreement.
Gaza Faced a Global Coalition Led by Washington
Nakhaleh revealed that the Zionist war on Gaza was not merely an Israeli campaign, but a full-scale international coalition led by the United States, with participation and endorsement from its Western and regional allies.
“Gaza fought for two years against the fiercest military power on earth — an international coalition led by the U.S. and its partners. From the first day of aggression, they stood behind Israel,”
he said.
He saluted the unity of the resistance factions — Saraya al-Quds, al-Qassam Brigades, and all resistance forces — who fought “as one hand, with one voice, and one stance” both on the battlefield and in political negotiations.
“Without this unity, we would not have lasted a month,” Nakhaleh stressed.
U.S. Ceasefire Plan Designed to Rescue Israel
Nakhaleh said Washington’s push for a ceasefire was not motivated by humanitarian concern, but by the collapse of Israel’s military position and America’s growing global isolation.
“After two years of war, the U.S. realized that continuing the aggression would trap the Zionist entity in a major battlefield dilemma and strangle it under international isolation,”
he explained.“The American initiative came to halt the consequences of a failing war and to help Washington regain control over the regional and international scene.”
He noted that the so-called Trump Plan to halt the aggression was aimed at reviving Israel’s image and providing the U.S. with a chance to reassert dominance, rather than achieving justice or genuine peace.
“Israel accepted Trump’s plan because it could not reject it — it needed a way out of the military deadlock, the internal pressure, and the heavy losses of its forces,” Nakhaleh said.
Resistance Will Not Lay Down Its Arms
Nakhaleh warned that Israel continues to pursue its goal of disarming Gaza and eliminating the resistance, trying to achieve politically what it failed to achieve through war.
He vowed that the resistance will never surrender or abandon its weapons, stressing that upcoming challenges require unity and vigilance.
“We are still on the battlefield, our weapons are in our hands, and we will do everything possible to spare our people from new aggression while protecting the resistance and the political gains of our people,”
he affirmed.
Appreciation to Allies of the Resistance Axis
In his closing remarks, Nakhaleh thanked Iran, Lebanon, Yemen, Egypt, and Qatar for their steadfast support in the fight against Israeli aggression, describing them as pillars of the regional front defending the oppressed.
“To those who stood with us — our brothers in Lebanon, Yemen, and Iran — and to all the free peoples of our nation and the world: we salute you,”
he said.“We are a targeted nation, whether we like it or not, and nothing protects us except jihad and resistance — not surrender.”
He concluded with a powerful message of defiance and faith:
“Glory to the martyrs of our people and our Ummah, and victory is ours, God willing — whether the time is long or short.” (PW)
