Moses’ Staff’ Operations: Al-Qassam Brigades Hit Israeli Targets in Jabalia
Hamas’ military wing releases footage of fighters destroying Merkava tanks and an armored personnel carrier in northern Gaza, in a direct response to Israel’s “Gideon 2” assault plan on Gaza City.
Palestine,PUREWILAYAH.COM - The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, has released video footage documenting the targeting of Israeli military vehicles in Jabalia, northern Gaza, as part of a new series of operations named “Asa Musa” (Moses’ Staff).
The footage shows three Al-Qassam fighters emerging from a destroyed house to strike an Israeli Merkava tank and an armored personnel carrier (APC) on Al-Ghubari Street.
One fighter is seen targeting the tank with a “Yasin 105” anti-armor projectile, while another places an improvised explosive device (IED) directly onto the APC before withdrawing to safety moments before the detonation.
In another scene, one fighter climbs onto a second Merkava tank, attempting to open its hatch to drop an explosive inside.
Finding it locked from within, the fighters engage the tank and a second vehicle parked nearby using Yasin projectiles and heavy machine guns, inflicting further damage.
Moses’ Staff’ Operations Announced in Response to ‘Gideon 2’
Earlier on Wednesday, the Palestinian resistance announced the launch of “Moses’ Staff” operations, describing them as a direct response to Israel’s recently unveiled “Gideon 2” armored assault initiative aimed at occupying Gaza City.
A source within the resistance told Al Jazeera that the initial phase of “Moses’ Staff” began in recent days in both Jabalia and the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, just hours after Israel announced the deployment of “Gideon 2” units.
The operations underscore the resistance’s continued capability to conduct close-range, high-risk anti-armor missions deep within contested urban zones, even under intense Israeli military pressure. (PW)
