Millions in Yemen Rise for Palestine, Ready for the “Next Phase”
Millions across Yemen flood the streets in a sweeping show of faith and resistance, declaring steadfast support for Palestine and full readiness for the coming phase.
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Millions of Yemenis took to the streets across the country on Friday, answering a global call issued earlier this week by Palestinian resistance factions for widespread popular mobilization against Israel’s war on Gaza and its international backers.
The call urged mass marches and protests in cities around the world—particularly over Friday, Saturday, and Sunday—as an expression of global conscience against what it described as ongoing Zionist crimes against the Palestinian people, carried out with direct Western support and amid widespread international silence.
The mobilization comes as Gaza continues to face devastating Israeli assaults, a deepening humanitarian catastrophe, and sustained political efforts aimed at sidelining or dismantling the Palestinian cause.
Yemen Responds Under the Banner of Faith and Resistance
In Yemen—long positioning itself as a central supporter of Palestine—the response was immediate and expansive. The rallies followed a televised address by Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, who warned of a critical and dangerous phase in the confrontation being driven by the United States and Israel.
He called on Yemenis to engage in broad, sustained, and visible mass mobilization, stressing that the current moment demands clarity of position, moral responsibility, and readiness to confront escalating aggression targeting Palestine and the wider region.
Demonstrators flooded Al-Sabeen Square in Sana’a as well as major squares across multiple provinces, forming one of the largest synchronized mobilizations seen in recent months. Protesters waved Yemeni and Palestinian flags, raised copies of the Qur’an, and carried banners rejecting Israeli occupation and Western complicity.
Participants stressed that Yemen’s stance toward Palestine is not symbolic, but rooted in faith-based conviction and a sense of shared destiny with the Palestinian people.
“Steadfast and Ready for the Next Round”
The marches were held under the slogan, “In response and support for the Palestinian people… steadfast and ready for the next round,” a phrase that was repeatedly chanted across protest sites nationwide.
Speakers and demonstrators emphasized that Yemen will not abandon Gaza under any circumstances, declaring that Palestinian suffering is inseparable from the broader struggle of the Ummah against occupation and domination.
During the rallies, a unified statement was read out, granting full popular authorization to Yemen’s leadership to take all necessary options against what it described as Zionist-American aggression. The statement framed the mobilization as a direct response to the call of Palestinian fighters and an expression of readiness for an expanded phase of confrontation.
Protesters also condemned what they described as Arab and international abandonment of Gaza, calling on other nations and peoples to break what they termed a state of silence and submission.
From Mass Solidarity to Existential Confrontation
The unified statement accused Israel—backed by Washington—of committing genocide in Gaza, and rejected international agreements and guarantees that it said have repeatedly failed to restrain Israeli actions.
It asserted that commitments promoted by Western leaders have been violated from the outset, while only the axis of resistance has taken concrete steps to defend Palestine and confront Israeli expansionist ambitions.
Demonstrators stressed that standing with Gaza, alongside Lebanon and Iran, constitutes a single defensive front against projects aimed at reshaping the region under the banner of “Greater Israel.”
The rallies concluded with declarations that Yemen’s mobilization has moved beyond expressions of solidarity, marking a transition toward popular and military readiness for what was described as an existential confrontation with Zionist-American domination.
Organizers and participants alike said the massive turnout sent a clear message that Yemen remains firmly committed to Palestine, warning that escalating aggression would only deepen Yemeni resolve rather than weaken it. (PW)
