Massive Yemen Protest: Victory for Iran, Steadfastness with Gaza
The protests were held under the slogan: Congratulating Iran’s Victory… and Standing Firm with Gaza until Victory, in response to a call by movement leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Millions of Yemenis took to the streets on Friday in many provinces, including the capital Sana'a, Hodeidah (235 protest sites), and Saada (36 sites), according to Al-Masirah TV.
The protests were held under the slogan: "Congratulating Iran’s Victory… and Standing Firm with Gaza until Victory", in response to a call by movement leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi.
In Sana'a’s iconic Al-Sabeen Square, demonstrators waved Yemeni and Palestinian flags and carried banners reaffirming their unwavering solidarity with Gaza.
Participants chanted powerful slogans condemning Israel and its main ally, the United States, including:
"O world, your silence is enough—Gaza is dying of starvation,"
"Where are the champions of humanity—from the crimes of Zionism?"
"America came to help—only to invent traps of death."
A statement issued at the end of the rally reaffirmed Yemen’s steadfast stance in support of Gaza and Palestine, vowing continued backing and defense of holy sites "with all we possess and are capable of."
The statement also congratulated Iran for what it called "a great victory over the American-Zionist aggression," while rejecting any path of surrender, normalization, or allegiance to the enemy.
Protesters hailed the Palestinian resistance for their “wounding blows to the Zionist enemy,” expressing admiration for their resilience, patience, and continued jihad in the face of overwhelming challenges.

Mauritania: Weekly Rallies for Gaza in Nouakchott
In Mauritania’s capital, Nouakchott, hundreds marched on Friday to denounce the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
The protest began after Friday prayers at the Grand Mosque and moved toward the UN representation office in the city.
Organized by local civil society groups including the National League for the Support of the Palestinian People and the Student Initiative Against Zionist Penetration, the marchers demanded an immediate halt to Israel’s military aggression and an end to US support for the occupying regime.
They called on the Arab and Islamic peoples to maintain constant public demonstrations and to pressure their governments to take meaningful action.
Speaking at the march, Sheikhani Ould Bayeb, Secretary-General of the National League, said the demonstration was part of weekly rallies to express Mauritania’s continued solidarity with Gaza.
“These weekly marches are a reflection of the Mauritanian people’s loyalty to their central cause,” he said in a statement to Anadolu Agency.
He affirmed that the Mauritanian public has remained a leading supporter of Palestine since October 7, tirelessly exploring every avenue of material and moral support—from humanitarian aid to public awareness campaigns.
Morocco: National Call to Lift the Siege on Gaza
Thousands of Moroccans held simultaneous protests in cities across the country after Friday prayers, demanding an end to the Israeli blockade on Gaza and the opening of all crossings for humanitarian aid.
Cities that witnessed large protests included Jerada and Taza (east), Casablanca (west), and northern cities such as Tetouan, Tangier, Azrou, and Wadi Zem, as well as Taroudant in the center.
The demonstrations were organized in response to a call from the Moroccan Commission to Support the Nation’s Causes, a non-governmental group.
Protesters demanded the complete lifting of the blockade and access for critical aid, chanting slogans like:
"Moroccan salute… to proud Gaza,"
"We all stand for resilient Gaza."
The protests come amid Israel’s continued closure of Gaza’s border crossings since March 2, allowing only a few aid trucks to enter while thousands remain stalled. At least 500 aid trucks are needed daily to meet Gaza’s basic humanitarian needs.
Since October 7, 2023, the ongoing genocide has resulted in approximately 189,000 Palestinian casualties, most of them women and children, along with more than 11,000 missing persons. Hundreds of thousands have been displaced, and famine has already claimed the lives of many, including children.
