Massive Rally in Yemen, Marking Two Years of Al-Aqsa Flood, Reaffirms Support for Palestine
Millions gather under the slogan “Al-Aqsa Flood… Two Years of Jihad and Sacrifice Until Victory” to declare unwavering solidarity with Gaza
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Large crowds across Yemen gathered on Friday to mark two years since the “Al-Aqsa Flood.” The central rally took place at Al-Sabeen Square in Sana’a, with parallel marches reported in Sa’ada, Al-Hodeidah, Al-Jawf, Dhamar, and Imran provinces.
The events were held under the slogan: “Al-Aqsa Flood… Two Years of Jihad and Sacrifice Until Victory.”
Organizers described the marches as the culmination of two years of continuous mobilization in support of Palestine.
Nationwide Mobilization and Symbolic Solidarity
Participants, including men and children, arrived from various districts carrying Palestinian and Yemeni flags, chanting slogans of support for Gaza. The rallies were characterized as expressions of national, religious, and humanitarian solidarity.
Organizers emphasized that after two years of military operations and popular demonstrations, Yemen’s commitment to the Palestinian cause had only strengthened.
Unified Message: Resistance and Readiness
In their final joint statement, participants reaffirmed readiness to confront regional escalations, citing what they described as conspiracies led by the United States and Israel. They extended congratulations to Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Iraqi resistance, and the Islamic Republic of Iran for their roles in supporting Gaza.
The statement condemned Arab and Islamic governments accused of betraying the cause, warning of “disgrace in this world and accountability in the Hereafter.”
Official Address and Pledge of Loyalty
A formal declaration was read by Acting Prime Minister Mohamed Miftah, praising the Palestinian people and their resistance for “great steadfastness” and “unparalleled patience.”
It stated that, despite heavy sacrifices, the enemy had failed to achieve its objectives — unable to retrieve captives without an exchange, dismantle resistance, or impose displacement.
Blessings were extended to Sayyed Abdulmalik al-Houthi, with a pledge:
“O our leader, if you were to lead us through the sea, we would traverse it with you.”
Commitment to Palestine and Continued Struggle
Participants affirmed that Yemen’s weekly marches and Armed Forces actions represented a significant evolution in national awareness. They vowed that Yemeni sacrifices alongside Palestinians would not be in vain until all of Palestine is liberated.
The statement concluded with a renewed promise:
“We remain with Palestine until the liberation of all its land and the end of the usurping, temporary entity, God willing.”
Yemen’s Position Since 2023
Yemen has taken a confrontational stance against “Israel” and the United States, launching drones and missiles and targeting vessels linked to the occupation in the Red Sea. The Yemeni public has continued organizing large mobilizations as part of its declared commitment to the ‘Axis of Resistance.’
Since October 2023, more than 67,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, with over 80 percent believed to be civilians. Nearly every standing structure in Gaza — homes, hospitals, schools, mosques, and churches — has suffered destruction or severe damage. International bodies and UN experts have described the devastation as acts of genocide. (PW)
