Massive Rally in Sanaa: Yemen Stands With Iran, One Ummah One Resistance
Huge crowds gather in Yemen’s capital to mark the Day of Furqan and express solidarity with Iran, Hezbollah, and resistance forces amid U.S.–Israeli escalation.
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Large crowds gathered in Al-Sabeen Square in the Yemeni capital Sanaa on Friday to commemorate the anniversary of the historic Battle of Badr, known in Islamic tradition as the Day of Furqan, while expressing support for Iran and other members of the regional resistance front.
The rally was organized under the slogan “With Iran and Lebanon, We Revive the Day of Furqan.” Participants arrived from across Sanaa’s districts, creating one of the largest demonstrations held in the capital in recent months.
Protesters waved Yemeni and Iranian flags and chanted slogans condemning the United States and Israel following their military attacks against Iran and the killing of Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
Demonstrators Express Solidarity With Iran
According to organizers, the rally was intended to show solidarity with the Iranian people and reaffirm Yemen’s alignment with the resistance front that includes Iran, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and resistance groups in Iraq.
Participants carried banners praising the operations carried out by Iranian forces and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), as well as the military actions of Hezbollah and Iraqi resistance factions against Israeli targets and U.S. military positions in the region.
Many demonstrators said the struggle against Israel and its Western allies is shared across the region and linked to broader geopolitical developments.

Statement Calls Current Conflict a “Battle of the Ummah”
A statement issued by the rally organizers described the current confrontation in the region as a wider conflict involving the entire Muslim world.
The statement said the Yemeni people remain ready to respond to any escalation and reaffirmed support for Iran’s government, armed forces, and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
Organizers also praised the operations carried out by Iran and resistance groups against Israeli and U.S. targets, describing them as part of a broader confrontation with what they called the Zionist project in the region.
Criticism of U.S. Military Presence in the Region
The statement also criticized the presence of American military bases in several countries in the region.
According to the organizers, these bases serve primarily to protect Israeli interests and support military operations against countries and movements opposing U.S. and Israeli policies in West Asia.
They called on governments hosting American forces to reconsider their policies and remove foreign military bases from their territories.
Yemen Reaffirms Alignment With Resistance Front
Speakers at the rally said Yemen would continue supporting resistance movements in Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq despite regional tensions.
They also called on Muslim societies to increase awareness and mobilization in response to the escalating conflict.
For many participants, the rally served both as a commemoration of the historic Battle of Badr and as a political message of support for Iran and other members of the resistance front confronting Israel and its Western allies. (PW)
