Mahdi al-Mashat: Zionist Lobby Behind Campaigns Insulting the Holy Qur’an
Yemeni leader says repeated desecrations in the West expose deep-rooted hostility toward Islam and Muslims
Yemen, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Mahdi al-Mashat, Head of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, stated that the repeated insults and desecrations of the Holy Qur’an in the United States and Western countries have laid bare their entrenched hostility and animosity toward Islam and Muslims.
Speaking amid mass popular mobilizations across Yemen, al-Mashat praised the millions of Yemenis who took to streets and public squares nationwide, describing their participation as a clear and powerful expression of the Yemeni people’s steadfast commitment to the Holy Qur’an and their readiness to defend Islamic sanctities.
Mass Yemeni Mobilization in Defense of Islamic Sanctities
Al-Mashat emphasized that the widespread and unified presence of the Yemeni people reflects a deep-rooted Qur’anic consciousness and an unbreakable bond with Islamic values, despite years of aggression, siege, and pressure imposed on Yemen.
He stressed that the Yemeni nation’s response sends a firm message that insults to Islam and its sacred symbols will never pass without resistance, and that popular awareness remains a central pillar in confronting projects of cultural and religious aggression.
Zionist Lobby Named as Architect of Qur’an Desecration Campaigns
The Yemeni leader directly accused the Zionist lobby of orchestrating and directing organized campaigns targeting the Holy Qur’an and other Islamic sanctities, stating unequivocally:
“Behind the insults to the Holy Qur’an stands the Zionist lobby.”
Al-Mashat explained that the repeated acts of desecration in the United States and several Western countries are neither random nor isolated incidents, but part of a coordinated and deliberate project aimed at provoking Muslims and undermining Islamic identity.
He described the Zionist lobby as the world’s leading force behind Islamophobic activities, playing a central role in promoting hostility toward Islam while enjoying political protection and media cover, particularly in Western capitals aligned with Israel.
In his closing remarks, al-Mashat underlined that Muslim nations bear a collective responsibility to confront these hostile projects with vigilance, unity, and unwavering defense of their sacred values, warning that silence and division only embolden the enemies of Islam.
