Lebanon Clearly Included in Ceasefire, Pakistan Envoy Exposes US-Israeli False Claims
Pakistan’s ambassador confirms Lebanon is explicitly part of the ceasefire deal, contradicting US-Israeli narratives and exposing violations before talks.
Pakistan, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, has confirmed that the cessation of war in Lebanon is explicitly stated within the text of the ceasefire agreement, directly contradicting claims made by the United States and the Israeli regime.
In a live interview with CNN, Sheikh stated that Lebanon is clearly included within the framework of the agreement reached between the United States, Iran, and other involved parties.
“Based on the understandings reached and Pakistan’s mediating role, Lebanon is clearly included within the framework of the ceasefire agreement. This matter has been fully agreed upon by the parties and there is no ambiguity in this regard,” he said.
US-Israeli Narrative Contradicted by Mediator Testimony
Sheikh’s remarks directly challenge statements by US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, both of whom have attempted to portray Lebanon as outside the scope of the ceasefire.
Contrary to these claims, the Pakistani envoy stressed that the inclusion of Lebanon was not only discussed but explicitly agreed upon during negotiations.
As a key mediator in the process, Pakistan witnessed firsthand that Lebanon was formally listed among the regions covered by the ceasefire framework.
Comprehensive Ceasefire Must Include Lebanon
The ambassador emphasized that Islamabad had insisted throughout the negotiations on the necessity of a comprehensive ceasefire, one that includes a complete halt to military operations in Lebanon.
He underscored that excluding Lebanon would fundamentally undermine the integrity of the agreement.
“Pakistan, as one of the facilitating countries in this process, witnessed that Lebanon was explicitly listed among the areas covered by the ceasefire. We believe that full implementation of this agreement will not be possible without including Lebanon,” Sheikh stated.
Any Contradiction Violates the Original Agreement
Referring to discussions held between Pakistani, American, and Iranian officials, Sheikh stressed that any interpretation excluding Lebanon stands in direct contradiction to the original agreed text.
His statement reinforces the position that the ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon represent a clear violation of the ceasefire framework from the outset.
Araghchi: US Must Choose Between Ceasefire or War via Israel
Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, in a post on X referencing a statement by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, reaffirmed that the terms of the Iran–U.S. ceasefire are “clear and explicit.”
“The Iran–U.S. ceasefire terms are clear and explicit: the U.S. must choose—ceasefire or continued war via Israel. It cannot have both,” Araghchi stated.
He stressed that the ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon have already exposed the contradiction in Washington’s position.
“The world sees the massacres in Lebanon. The ball is in the U.S. court, and the world is watching whether it will act on its commitments,” he added.
Araghchi’s remarks reinforce the position that any continued Israeli aggression effectively represents a continuation of war backed by the United States, contradicting the very framework Washington claims to support.
As attacks on Lebanon continue despite the agreed terms, the situation reflects a deliberate effort to bypass the framework and sustain aggression under the cover of diplomacy. (PW)
