Lebanese Health Minister: No Agreement Will Compromise Martyrs' Blood
Lebanon’s Health Minister Rakan Nassereddine said the sacrifices made during the Israeli attacks will never be traded for any arrangement, while pledging to rebuild damaged hospitals.
Lebanon, PUREWILAYAH.COM – Lebanese Health Minister Dr. Rakan Nassereddine declared that the sacrifices made by the martyrs in defending Lebanon would never be compromised by any political arrangement or agreement, as he toured hospitals in the southern city of Tyre that were damaged during recent Israeli attacks.
The visit focused on assessing the damage suffered by medical institutions and reviewing their reconstruction needs for the coming period.
“Lebanon Protected by the Blood of the Martyrs”
During a visit to Hiram Hospital, Dr. Nassereddine praised the hospital’s medical staff, recalling that the institution had lost martyrs as a result of what he described as systematic Israeli attacks.
He said Lebanon, protected by the blood of its martyrs, “will always remain safeguarded and will never be compromised through any arrangements or agreements.”
He added that the country would continue to uphold pride, steadfastness, and the liberation of southern Lebanon.
Rebuilding Hospitals Is a National Priority
The minister later visited Jabal Amel Hospital and the Lebanese Italian Hospital, where he met medical personnel and reviewed the condition of the facilities.
He affirmed that attacks against Lebanon’s health sector had been systematic, but said hospitals across southern Lebanon continued serving the people despite the destruction.
Nassereddine pledged that rebuilding damaged public and private hospitals would remain among the government’s highest priorities. He also said reconstruction efforts would include health infrastructure, medical teams, ambulances, and firefighting vehicles damaged during the Israeli attacks.
“We will place all our capabilities, even if modest, at their disposal,” he said, adding that the Ministry of Health is coordinating with the Ministry of Finance to secure the financial entitlements owed to hospitals while also following up on reconstruction assistance. (PW)
