Larijani: Missile Power Is Iran’s Sovereign Right, Not the West’s Business
The Top Iranian official condemns U.S. domination, Western hypocrisy, and Israeli aggression, asserting that Iran’s defense strength is a pillar of regional stability and dignity
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, reaffirmed that Iran’s missile capabilities are an internal affair and not subject to Western oversight. He dismissed Western allegations as baseless attempts to undermine the Islamic Republic’s sovereignty and weaken its defensive power.
Speaking at the closing session of the conference “We and the West in the Thought of Imam Khamenei” in Tehran, Larijani emphasized that Iran would not yield to fabricated claims or external pressure, underscoring that the country’s missile program is a symbol of independence and deterrence against aggression.
He condemned the United States and its allies for politicizing Iran’s defense achievements, stressing that their interference serves the interests of the Zionist regime and aims to erode Iran’s security and regional balance.
The West’s Dialogue Masked as Domination
Larijani said that Western countries use the notion of “dialogue” as a pretext for domination, not cooperation. He explained that the so-called nuclear issue has always been a façade for a broader confrontation with the Iranian nation, designed to subdue its will and limit its influence.
According to Larijani, Iran’s national strength and the steadfastness of its armed forces have forced adversaries to act more cautiously. He noted that the global image of the United States and the Zionist regime has never been as discredited and despised as it is today.
U.S. Hegemony and Zionist Aggression Behind Global Chaos
The Iranian official sharply criticized Washington’s “peace through power” doctrine, describing it as a policy of threats and domination that fuels global instability.
He said the U.S. administration under Donald Trump embodies a system that undermines the independence of nations while disguising aggression as diplomacy.
Larijani noted that the West, which once claimed to champion freedom and knowledge, has instead plunged the world into conflict, its legacy marked by wars and colonial exploitation.
He accused the United States and the Zionist regime of using terrorism as a strategic weapon to destabilize West Asia, asserting that the creation and sponsorship of Daesh (ISIS) were part of Washington’s plan to spread chaos and weaken resistance movements.
Iran’s Path: Dialogue with Dignity, Resistance with Strength
While emphasizing that Iran has never sought hostility toward the West, Larijani made clear that Western arrogance and intervention have repeatedly undermined opportunities for cooperation. He reiterated that Iran does not reject dialogue, but refuses any talks conducted under threats or coercion.
He also cautioned against the West’s cultural and technological dominance, describing how Western powers manipulate innovation and information to exert ideological control. Citing Allama Iqbal, Larijani reminded that the West’s “godless thought” has transformed knowledge into a tool of sorcery and subjugation.
Concluding his remarks, he urged Iranian political leaders to maintain unity and prioritize national will over division, affirming that Iran’s national identity and independence cannot be compromised.
He stressed that if the West renounces its ambitions for domination, mutual understanding could prevail — yet no threat from America will ever break the resolve of the Iranian nation. (PW)
