Larijani: European Armies Involved Against IRGC Will Be Deemed Terrorist
Iran’s top security official warns EU states of legal and security consequences following Brussels’ hostile designation of the IRGC
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council announced that the armed forces of countries involved in actions against the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) will be considered terrorist entities.
According to Tasnim News Agency, Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, responded to the European Union’s political move against the IRGC in a post on his official X account.
He stated that the European Union is fully aware that, under a resolution passed by Iran’s Parliament, the armed forces of countries that participated in the EU’s recent decision against the IRGC are deemed terrorist.
Larijani added that the consequences of this decision will therefore fall upon the European countries that took part in such an action.
EU’s Hostile Move Against IRGC Condemned as Illegal and Deceitful
On Tuesday, European Union foreign ministers, in a hostile move against the official security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, placed the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on the so-called terrorist list.
Following this hostile action, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement condemning the decision adopted by the foreign ministers of EU member states against the armed forces of the Islamic Republic.
The Foreign Ministry described the decision as “illegal, unjustified, and deceitful,” stressing that labeling the proud Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran constitutes an act against the entire Iranian nation, and condemned it in the strongest possible terms. (PW)
