Larijani: Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei Was Raised in the School of Leadership
Ali Larijani says Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei was shaped in the leadership school of Imam Khamenei and can guide Iran through wartime challenges.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, stated that Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei was raised within the school of leadership, emphasizing his experience and preparation to guide the country during a critical period.
Larijani made the remarks in a telephone interview with Iran’s Khabar Network regarding the election of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei as the new Leader of the Islamic system.
Assembly of Experts Acted Courageously During Wartime
Larijani first expressed appreciation for the Assembly of Experts for holding its session despite the wartime conditions facing the country.
He said the meeting took place while the country was confronting a special wartime situation and despite continuous threats.
Larijani noted that the United States had repeatedly threatened to bomb the Assembly of Experts session, yet the members of the Assembly gathered courageously and made their decision.
Legal and Constitutional Process
Larijani said that despite all the enemy’s schemes and after the martyrdom of Imam Khamenei, the enemies believed Iran would face a deadlock and that they would achieve their malicious goals.
However, he stated that the Assembly of Experts carefully examined the matter in accordance with the Constitution.
“In the end, from among the various individuals who had been considered, His Eminence Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei was selected, and this process was carried out completely in accordance with the law,” he said.
Larijani added that there had been significant negative propaganda surrounding the process, but the transparent and legal procedure conducted by the Assembly of Experts provided a clear response to those narratives.
Raised in the School of Leadership
Larijani emphasized that Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei is the son of a great figure who had long been active in struggles before and after the Islamic Revolution.
He said that Mojtaba Khamenei himself has also been present in various arenas since the revolution and has been educated within the school of leadership.
“God willing, his presence will be a source of goodness and blessing,” Larijani said.
Considering the sensitive conditions facing the country, he added that with the teachings he has received from his father, he will be able to guide the country.
Need for National Unity
Larijani stressed that the new leadership must become a symbol of national unity, and that all segments of society must contribute to this effort.
He said Iran today needs unity and solidarity more than ever before, particularly under the current wartime circumstances.
“The leadership must manage the country with firmness during the war,” he said, adding that those who think about Iran’s future should set aside past disagreements and rally around the new leadership in order to achieve victory in the ongoing confrontation.
Larijani concluded by expressing hope that during the new leadership period, Iran will move toward greater development, economic conditions will improve, and greater stability and welfare will be provided for the Iranian people. (PW)
