Kremlin: Russia Has No Information on Potential U.S.–Iran Talks
Moscow distances itself from speculation as war-driven instability spreads across West Asia and global markets
Moscow, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The Kremlin has stated that it has no information regarding any potential negotiations between the United States and Iran, amid growing speculation surrounding backchannel diplomacy.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Moscow is not aware of any details related to possible talks, signaling a clear distance from narratives suggesting imminent negotiations.
Despite this, Peskov noted that Russia would welcome any development that leads to the cessation of military actions—underscoring Moscow’s position that de-escalation must come through concrete outcomes, not media-driven claims.
War Expands Instability Across West Asia
Earlier, Peskov warned that the entire region of West Asia is now facing severe instability, with the scope of the crisis continuing to expand.
According to the Kremlin, the consequences of the war are no longer confined to the battlefield. The ripple effects are being felt globally, particularly through disruptions in energy markets and rising economic uncertainty.
Russia reiterated that it had long cautioned against the escalation of military scenarios around Iran, warning that such actions would inevitably destabilize the broader region.
Energy Tensions and Economic Fallout Intensify
The situation surrounding Iran has triggered significant volatility in global energy markets, reinforcing concerns about long-term economic consequences.
As tensions escalate, instability in energy supply chains continues to deepen, placing additional pressure on global markets already strained by geopolitical conflict.
Moscow emphasized that the unfolding crisis highlights the interconnected nature of regional conflict and global economic stability.
Moscow Points to Strategic Reality Behind the Conflict
While Western narratives continue to frame the crisis through a narrow lens, Russian officials pointed to a broader strategic reality: the current instability is the direct outcome of escalating military actions and the collapse of diplomatic pathways.
Peskov stressed that sustainable stability cannot be achieved through force, particularly in a region as strategically sensitive as West Asia.
The Kremlin also addressed developments related to Ukraine, noting that the suspension of trilateral talks is tied to prevailing conditions and shifting priorities.
Peskov accused Kyiv of intensifying pressure tactics in the energy sector, including attempts to disrupt critical infrastructure such as compressor stations supporting major gas pipelines.
He described such actions as irresponsible, warning that they further complicate an already volatile international environment. (PW)
