Khatam al-Anbiya: Iran on Full Alert for Any Scenario
Iran emerged from an unequal war with honor and determination, adding that operational air defense units throughout the country remain firmly positioned to protect Iranian airspace
IRAN, PUREWILAYAH.COM – Iran’s military leadership has reaffirmed the country’s full defensive readiness, with commanders stating that air defense units remain deployed nationwide and prepared to confront any hostile scenario.
During a visit to the Army’s Northwestern Air Defense Region, Brigadier General Ali Reza Elhami, commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Joint Air Defense Headquarters, said Iran’s armed forces are maintaining maximum preparedness and stand ready for any action by adversaries.
Air Defense Forces Remain Firmly Deployed
Elhami praised the performance of Iran’s air defense forces during what Iranian officials refer to as the Ramadan War, describing it as a significant chapter in the country’s military history.
“The air defense force recorded a proud history in the Ramadan War in protecting the borders and sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” he said.
He stated that Iran emerged from what he described as an unequal war with honor and determination, adding that operational air defense units throughout the country remain firmly positioned to protect Iranian airspace.
Elhami also emphasized that the confrontation between truth and falsehood has persisted throughout history and continues today, saying the Iranian people and armed forces remain united in confronting external threats.
“We are in a state of one hundred percent readiness, and we are prepared for any scenario the enemy may pursue,” he said.
Iran Says Lessons of the War Must Be Preserved
The commander paid tribute to members of Iran’s air defense forces who were killed during the conflict and praised the role played by personnel from both the Army and the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps.
According to Elhami, the experience gained during the twelve-day war and the broader Ramadan War should be documented and preserved for future generations.
He added that the resilience displayed by air defense personnel has strengthened public confidence and demonstrated Iran’s ability to safeguard its national airspace under wartime conditions.
IRGC Official: US Requested Ceasefire During the War
Separately, Brigadier General Yadollah Javani, political deputy to the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), said the United States requested a ceasefire on the tenth or eleventh day of the Ramadan War.
Javani stated that Iran chose to continue military operations until the fortieth day in order to strengthen deterrence and ensure that Washington received what he described as a decisive lesson.
He added that negotiations were only authorized after Iran had established its own conditions, saying Ayatullah Sayyed Ali Khamenei permitted talks to proceed from a position of dignity and strength.
Ghalibaf Dismisses US Threats
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf also rejected recent threats issued by US President Donald Trump.
Ghalibaf said Tehran places no importance on American threats and stressed that Iran’s armed forces are fully prepared to respond to any aggression.
Questioning Washington’s pressure strategy, he argued that if such threats had been effective, the United States would not be facing what he described as its current state of weakness.
He also urged American officials to exercise caution in their statements, warning that Iran possesses the capability to respond through other means if necessary. (PW)
