Keep Your Eyes on Iran! SNSC Says Funeral Crowds Shatter US-Israeli Calculations
Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said the millions attending Martyr Imam Khamenei’s funeral have disproved US-Israeli assumptions that Iran could be defeated within days.
IRAN, PUREWILAYAH.COM – Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) said the unprecedented turnout at the funeral of Martyr Imam Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei has demonstrated the failure of American and Israeli expectations that the Islamic Republic could be brought down within days.
In a message issued during Sunday’s funeral ceremonies, the SNSC addressed Iran’s adversaries directly.
“Keep your eyes on Iran over the coming days. This is the very Iran that you believed you could bring to its knees within a matter of days.”
The Council said the immense sea of mourners filling Tehran was delivering a clear response to the recent US-Israeli aggression through two slogans echoed across the funeral procession:
“Resistance against the enemies, and vengeance for the blood of the Leader.”
Millions Fill Tehran
Millions gathered at Tehran’s Grand Mosalla and surrounding streets for funeral prayers and the public farewell to Martyr Imam Khamenei, with mourners continuing to arrive from across Iran and abroad.
Iranian estimates said participants came from more than 100 countries alongside official delegations, Resistance leaders, and religious scholars. Red flags, Iranian national flags, and portraits of the martyred Leader filled the capital as chants calling for resistance and retribution echoed throughout the procession.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also announced that representatives from more than 70 countries had traveled to Iran to participate in the funeral ceremonies, describing the occasion as a lasting milestone in Iran’s international relations.
Former Shin Bet Official Acknowledges Iran’s Strength
The scale of the funeral also drew attention in Israel.
Former senior Shin Bet official Amit Assa told i24NEWS that the ceremonies “demonstrate Iran’s strength,” adding that the turnout confirmed the Iranian government “still controls the street.”
He also criticized US President Donald Trump’s approach toward Iran, saying Trump “does not really understand who he is facing” and was “heading in the wrong direction” despite his recent experience in the Middle East. (PW)
