Israeli Strikes Kill Dozens in Gaza Amid Ongoing Ceasefire Violations
Resistance sources stated that the Rafah incident was manipulated to portray a breach of the ceasefire and place blame on the resistance.
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Israeli occupation forces launched multiple airstrikes across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, despite the ongoing ceasefire, resulting in numerous martyrs and injuries.
The escalation came after Hamas affirmed it had no connection to the incident east of Rafah, which led to the killing of two Israeli soldiers.
Hospital sources in Gaza reported 44 martyrs arriving at medical centers since dawn as a result of Israeli aggression.
Distribution of Casualties Across Hospitals
According to updated medical figures:
3 martyrs arrived at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City
18 martyrs at Al-Awda Hospital
12 martyrs at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza
3 martyrs at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis
Medical sources confirmed the martyrdom of three civilians, including two children and a woman, in a strike by an Israeli drone targeting a displaced persons’ tent near Asdaa City, north of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Civilian Martyrs and Journalists Targeted
A correspondent reported the martyrdom of Nasma As’ad Al-Ghalban (35 years old) and the injury of ten others, mostly children, who were transferred to the Kuwait Specialized Field Hospital after tents of displaced families were struck near the Asdaa gate in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis.
Israeli tank shells also struck eastern Khan Younis with multiple artillery rounds.
Two martyrs arrived at Al-Shifa Hospital after an Israeli strike near Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza.
Additionally, Israeli aircraft carried out a strike east of the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in northeastern Gaza City.
Two journalists were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a chalet housing PMP media company journalists in Al-Zawaida, central Gaza.
Additional Strikes in Central Gaza
Earlier in the day, six civilians were martyred and others wounded when an Israeli drone targeted a gathering in Al-Zawaida, central Gaza, marking yet another breach of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement.
Eyewitnesses reported that an Israeli drone struck a group of civilians near Café Twix, west of Al-Zawaida, resulting in multiple martyrs and injuries, including children.
Medical sources at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah confirmed receiving several wounded, later announcing the martyrdom of six individuals.
The reported martyrs were identified as:
Yahya Al-Mabhouh
Muslim Badr
Zakaria Abu Habl
Hussein Al-Sawalha
Muhammad Abu Rafea
Aed Salman
Israeli Threats and Narrative Disputes
The bombardment coincided with remarks by Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, who warned:
“Hamas will learn the hard way today that the army is determined to protect its soldiers and prevent any harm. We have instructed the army to act forcefully against Hamas targets in Gaza.”
He added via the X platform:
“Hamas will pay a heavy price for every shot fired and every ceasefire violation. If the message is not understood, the response will intensify.”
Israeli media outlets claimed that resistance fighters attacked an Israeli military vehicle east of Rafah, alleging that a barrage of projectiles was fired at occupation forces.
Other reports suggested resistance fighters attempted to target an operational unit led by mercenary Yasser Abu Shabab in Rafah, detonating an explosive device upon encountering a military vehicle.
While some outlets claimed two soldiers were killed, others reported four were wounded with varying injuries.
Resistance Sources: Incident Misrepresented
Palestinian media, citing resistance sources, stated that the Rafah incident was manipulated to portray a breach of the ceasefire and place blame on the resistance.
According to those sources:
“A landmine planted during the Gaza war was triggered when an occupation vehicle passed over it. The incident was distorted to falsely claim a targeted attack with anti-armor fire.”
Documented Ceasefire Violations
Since the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement took effect on 10 October 2025, the Israeli occupation has committed 47 documented violations, resulting in the martyrdom of 38 Palestinians and the injury of 143 others with varying degrees of severity — in clear violation of the ceasefire terms and international humanitarian law.
