Israeli Forces Intensify Violations Across South Lebanon
Ceasefire breached as Israeli occupation escalates drone attacks, shelling, and incursions into Lebanese territory
Lebanon, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Israeli occupation forces have intensified their violations in South Lebanon, launching a series of attacks that include tank shelling, drone strikes, gunfire, and land excavation inside Lebanese territory. According to Al Mayadeen’s correspondents in the region, these actions mark yet another breach of the declared ceasefire.
A Merkava tank fired two shells toward the outskirts of Ramia on Wednesday, signaling a notable escalation.
In Kfarkela, an Israeli reconnaissance drone crashed, while another drone dropped a bomb over the Karkazan neighborhood in Mays al-Jabal. No casualties were reported in these incidents.
Multiple Drone Violations and Ground Incursions
In Maroun al-Ras, an additional Israeli drone dropped an explosive device, adding to the string of airspace violations. At the same time, an Israeli military bulldozer was reported carrying out excavation and land-razing operations inside Lebanese territory, between the newly positioned Israeli site east of Houla and the occupation’s al-Abbad site.
Gunfire also erupted from Israeli positions on the Ramtha hill, targeting the outskirts of Bastra farm and the town of Kfar Chouba, raising tensions across an already volatile front.
Civilian Casualties in Ongoing Israeli Attacks
On Sunday, a Lebanese civilian was martyred in Aita al-Shaab when an Israeli drone strike targeted a vehicle inside the town, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported. Lebanon’s National News Agency confirmed the attack, describing it as part of ongoing Israeli aggression against civilian areas.
In a separate strike, an Israeli reconnaissance aircraft dropped a bomb near the historic spring in Odaisseh, further illustrating the occupation’s continued violations of Lebanese sovereignty.
Escalation Follows Earlier Airstrikes Across Lebanon
The latest attacks follow a series of Israeli airstrikes on Saturday, targeting towns in southern and eastern Lebanon in yet another breach of the ceasefire. Highland areas around Tarayya and Shmestar in the Bekaa region were struck, while Israeli warplanes also raided Jabal al-Rafee, the outskirts of Sojod, and the al-Naqra valley near Kfar Hamam.
These repeated violations underscore a dangerous escalation by the Israeli occupation, threatening regional stability and placing civilian lives at continued risk. (PW)
