Israeli Forces Execute Two Young Palestinians at Point-Blank
Eyewitnesses confirm point-blank execution after both victims raised their hands; Israeli forces continue large-scale assault on Jenin
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Israeli occupation forces executed two Palestinian men on Thursday after they raised their hands and surrendered during a siege on a home in the city of Jenin, northern West Bank.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed the killing of al-Muntasir Billah Mahmoud Qassem Abdullah (26) and Yousef Ali Yousef Asaasah (37), after receiving the information from the General Authority for Civil Affairs. Their bodies remain held by the occupation.
Execution After Surrender
Local sources reported that an Israeli undercover unit infiltrated the Jabal Abu Dhahir neighborhood and surrounded a home, detaining and assaulting a young Palestinian inside.
During the siege, the two men exited the home with their hands raised to surrender. However, Israeli soldiers forced them back inside and immediately opened fire at point-blank range, killing both on the spot.
Eyewitnesses confirmed that the shooting was carried out from extremely close distance, clearly indicating a deliberate field execution, with no exchange of fire and no threat posed by the victims.
Later, the Israeli military acknowledged killing the two men and claimed—without credibility—that it had opened an “investigation” into the soldiers involved, in what appears to be an attempt to contain outrage over the crime.
Ongoing Israeli Assault on Jenin
Earlier in the day, another Palestinian citizen was killed by Israeli gunfire during the same large-scale raid on Jabal Abu Dhahir.
The Israeli military said that its undercover “Mistaravim” unit was conducting a field operation in Jenin as part of what it calls “Operation Five Stones,” supported by attack helicopters providing aerial cover for commandos deployed on the ground.
Simultaneously, a military bulldozer began demolishing structures around the besieged home as gunfire and troop movements intensified.
Local sources confirmed that Israeli forces surrounded the two young men inside the house while heavily armed units spread throughout the area, accompanied by continuous gunfire echoing across the neighborhood.
Homes Evacuated as Military Expansion Continues
Witnesses reported that nearby homes were evacuated by the occupation forces, while additional military vehicles and heavy equipment were brought into the area—an indication that the ongoing operation in Jenin may expand further. (FG)
