Four Israeli troops killed in close-range clashes with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, with additional soldiers wounded during evacuation under continued fire.
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The Israeli occupation army announced the killing of four soldiers in clashes that took place yesterday in southern Lebanon.
In an official statement, the army said:
“In the incident in which the late Captain Noam Madmoni, the late Sergeant Ben Cohen, and the late Sergeant Maxim Antis were killed, another soldier was also killed. His family has been notified, but his name has not yet been released and will be published later.”
The statement added that all those killed were members of the Nahal Brigade, including an officer holding the rank of captain.
Additional Injuries and Evacuation Under Fire
The Israeli military further reported that one soldier was seriously wounded in the same incident, while another soldier and a reservist sustained moderate injuries.
“All wounded soldiers were evacuated for medical treatment at a hospital, and their families have been informed,” the statement said.

Close-Range Clash Escalates During Evacuation
According to an Israeli military source, the Nahal Brigade combat team was operating under the command of the 162nd Division in the western sector of southern Lebanon.
The source stated that on Monday at approximately 6:30 PM, a close-range clash erupted between Israeli forces and Hezbollah fighters, leading to an exchange of fire.
During the confrontation, several Israeli soldiers were hit. As evacuation operations began at a designated landing zone, Hezbollah fighters reportedly launched an anti-tank missile toward the forces.
The Israeli military claimed no additional casualties resulted from the missile strike and stated that its forces responded with gunfire, tank shelling, and airstrikes. (PW)
