Israel Threatens Civilian Home in Southern Lebanon Despite Weapons-Free Inspection
The move sparked public outrage among local residents, who condemned what they described as humiliating and coercive behavior by the Israeli enemy
Lebanon, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Israeli occupation forces threatened a civilian residential building in the town of Yanooh, southern Lebanon, near a UNIFIL base, despite an official inspection by the Lebanese Army and UNIFIL confirming the absence of any weapons, according to Al-Manar’s correspondent.
The incident followed a request submitted through the so-called “Mechanism Committee,” which relayed Israeli claims of suspected weapons inside a civilian home. In response, a joint Lebanese Army–UNIFIL force conducted a full inspection of the residence and found no weapons whatsoever.
Despite this clear outcome, Israel demanded a second inspection, once again using the Mechanism Committee as a channel, while an Israeli hostile drone hovered over the area, escalating tension and intimidation.
Weapons-Free Inspection Exposes Israeli False Allegations
The move sparked public outrage among local residents, who condemned what they described as humiliating and coercive behavior by the Israeli enemy, accusing it of attempting to reduce the Lebanese Army to an executive tool for Israeli dictates. Residents firmly refused to comply with the demand for a renewed inspection.
Later reports confirmed that Lebanese Army units would remain deployed around the inspected home until morning, in order to protect it from any potential Israeli aggression. Officials also rejected circulating claims of a new inspection request, stating that such reports are entirely false.
The incident highlights Israel’s continued violations of Lebanese sovereignty, carried out under Western political cover and U.S. backing, and its persistent use of intimidation tactics against civilians, even when its allegations are repeatedly proven baseless. (PW)
