Israel Systematically Seizes More Gaza Territory for Future Negotiation Leverage
Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi says demolitions, incursions, and engineered evacuations reveal a deliberate Israeli strategy to change Gaza’s reality before the next negotiating phase
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Military expert Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi has accused the Israeli occupation army of carrying out open and systematic violations of the Gaza ceasefire agreement through continuous incursions, demolitions, and territorial expansion across the Strip.
Al-Duwairi said recent Israeli movements “do not align at all with the concept of a ceasefire,” which should require a complete halt to military operations from both sides.
Instead, he argued, the occupation has exploited the agreement as a cover to expand its presence and prepare new bargaining chips for the next phase of negotiations.
Demolitions and Forced Evacuations Aimed at Redrawing the Map
According to Al-Duwairi, the Israeli army is deliberately evacuating entire neighborhoods—such as Shuja’iyya—under the pretext of isolated incidents, in order to create “a new reality” that can later be imposed at the negotiating table.
He further warned that local militias tied to Israel may be conducting “fabricated attacks” against Israeli forces to justify deeper incursions, framing the pattern as part of a larger plan to forcibly reshape the Strip’s geography.
More Than 400 Ceasefire Violations and Hundreds of Civilian Casualties
Data from the Gaza Government Media Office shows that since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, the occupation has:
Carried out over 400 documented violations
Killed 300 Palestinians
Wounded hundreds more
Targeted multiple governorates across Gaza
These violations continue despite the agreement’s explicit terms and despite international monitoring.
Israel Expands “Yellow Zone” to Control Over Half of Gaza
The Israeli army claims the Kfir Brigade is operating inside the so-called “yellow line” to destroy “military infrastructure.” However, Al-Duwairi notes that Israel is steadily expanding the yellow zone—now reaching 53% of the Gaza Strip—and using it as a launching pad for further incursions.
Shuja’iyya, Beit Hanoun, and Khan Younis have all witnessed bombardment, home demolitions, and forced displacement, based on what Israel calls “credible threats.”
A Forced Reality Ahead of Negotiations
Al-Duwairi concluded that Israel’s actions amount to “a forced alteration of the field reality” under the guise of the ceasefire, as the occupation seeks political and geographic gains before entering the next stage of negotiations.
He warned that if the international community continues to overlook these violations, Israel will solidify its occupation lines and impose terms that strip Palestinians of their rights and land. (PW)
