Israel Orders Demolition of 25 Residential Buildings in Nur Shams Refugee Camp
New military order targets civilian homes in Tulkarm, raising warnings of forced displacement and grave violations of international law
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Israeli occupation forces have announced the issuance of a military order mandating the demolition of 25 residential buildings in Nur Shams refugee camp, located in Tulkarm Governorate in the occupied northern West Bank.
In a statement, Tulkarm Governor Abdullah Kamil called on the international community, human rights institutions, and diplomatic missions to take immediate and urgent action to halt the new military decision issued by the Israeli occupation army.
Kamil explained that the decision comes as part of the ongoing Israeli arrogance and systematic crimes against the Palestinian people in the Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps, and constitutes a continuation of organized destruction and sabotage targeting civilians and their property.
He noted that these actions have already resulted in the forced displacement of camp residents.
He stressed that such measures represent a blatant violation of international law, international conventions and norms, international humanitarian law, and human rights law, reiterating his demand for urgent international intervention to stop the continued aggression against Tulkarm Governorate, its refugee camps, villages, and towns.
