Israel Launches Widespread Raids and Arrest Campaign Across the West Bank
Israeli forces carried out overnight raids across multiple West Bank cities, arresting Palestinians and ransacking homes as settlers escalated attacks on property.
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Israeli occupation forces launched a wide-scale campaign of raids and incursions across various areas of the occupied West Bank early Friday, carrying out arrests, searching homes, and vandalizing their contents.
At the same time, Israeli settlers escalated their attacks against Palestinian property in the Nablus governorate.
In the northern West Bank city of Qalqilya, occupation forces arrested four Palestinians after storming the city through its eastern entrance and raiding several residential neighborhoods.
Those arrested included former prisoners Ali Nazzal, Islam Muraaba, Tawfiq Affaneh, and Rizq Abu Samra. Their homes were searched and their contents were ransacked.
Occupation forces also deployed snipers at several locations throughout the city during the raid and distributed threatening leaflets before withdrawing after an operation that lasted approximately two hours.
Arrests and Home Raids Continue Across Multiple Governorates
In Nablus governorate, occupation forces arrested Palestinian woman Abeer Ahmad al-Asadi and Palestinian citizen Mohammad Amin Mahmoud al-Asadi after storming Al-Ain refugee camp west of the city. Several homes were raided and searched, and a vehicle belonging to one of the detainees was seized.
South of Jenin, occupation forces stormed the town of Ya’bad, raiding and searching several homes and destroying their contents before withdrawing. No arrests were reported.
Occupation forces also entered the town of Al-Zawiya west of Salfit, deploying throughout several neighborhoods and raiding Palestinian homes. The homes were searched and their contents vandalized as part of the ongoing incursions targeting towns across the governorate.
In Bethlehem governorate, occupation forces stormed the Harmala area southeast of the city and positioned themselves in several neighborhoods. No arrests or clashes were reported.
Settlers Escalate Attacks on Palestinian Property
In a related development, Israeli settlers attacked the towns of Sebastia and Naqoura northwest of Nablus, as well as the town of Beita south of the city.
The settlers vandalized several Palestinian vehicles and slashed their tires in the latest attack in a growing series of settler assaults targeting Palestinians and their property throughout the occupied West Bank. (PW)
