Israel Launches Attacks on Iran, Tehran Retaliates as Yemen Joins the Battle
Iran and Yemen launched missiles toward occupied Palestine after Israeli strikes targeted sites inside Iran, triggering alerts across multiple areas.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Iran and Yemen launched missile attacks toward occupied Palestine on Monday after Israeli forces carried out strikes against targets inside Iran, opening a new phase of regional confrontation stretching from Iran to the Red Sea.
Explosions were reported in Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz, and Karaj after Israeli attacks targeted locations inside Iran during the early hours of Monday.
The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) later confirmed that Iranian territory had come under attack, stating that the Israeli regime used air-launched ballistic missiles fired from outside Iranian airspace.
Iranian officials said no Israeli warplanes entered Iranian airspace during the operation, adding that missiles were launched from outside the country’s borders.
Israeli media also reported that Tehran’s Mehrabad International Airport was among the sites targeted during the attacks.
Meanwhile, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in Baghdad reported that a powerful explosion of unknown origin was heard across the Iraqi capital, though Iraqi authorities had not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
Yemen Enters the Confrontation
Hours after the attacks on Iran, the Israeli military announced that a missile had been launched from Yemen toward the occupied territories.
Air raid sirens sounded across a wide area, including occupied Al-Quds, Tel Aviv, Lachish, Shfela, Judea, the Dead Sea region, Shomron, Dan, Yarkon, and coastal areas.
The Israeli military said its air defense systems were activated in an attempt to intercept the missile.
The launch marked Yemen’s direct entry into the latest round of confrontation, expanding the battlefield beyond Iran and Lebanon.
The development came as tensions continued to rise following Israeli attacks on Lebanon and Beirut’s Southern Suburb, as well as recent incidents involving Iranian-linked shipping routes near the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran Launches Missile Barrages
Following the Israeli attacks, Iranian missile forces launched several waves of missiles toward occupied Palestine.
Warning sirens were activated across central, southern, and northern occupied territories as missiles approached their targets.
Israeli media reported that at least one Iranian missile struck near Itamar in the occupied West Bank, with reports indicating that the intended target was a military site.
Additional missile waves were later reported heading toward the Negev region and southern occupied Palestine.
Journalists on the ground reported hearing continuous explosions across multiple areas as air defense systems attempted interceptions.
Images and reports circulating from occupied Palestine showed residents rushing to shelters across several regions as the missile attacks unfolded.
Israeli Officials Weigh Response to Latest Developments
As tensions escalated, Israeli officials held consultations on how to respond to the latest developments.
Israeli media quoted Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir as saying that the military was prepared to launch a powerful attack once authorization was given.
The statement came despite reports that US President Donald Trump had urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to respond to previous Iranian strikes.
According to reports carried by Western and Israeli media, Trump told Netanyahu that further escalation was unnecessary following the exchange of attacks between the two sides.
Monday’s developments opened multiple active fronts across the region, with Iran and Yemen both launching missile operations toward occupied Palestine after Israeli strikes on Iranian territory.
The situation remains highly fluid as military activity continues across several theaters in West Asia. (PW)
