Israel Detonates 80 Booby-Trapped Robots in Gaza’s Residential Neighborhoods
Over 80 booby-trapped robots detonated in residential areas; more than a million Palestinians refuse to leave northern Gaza
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The Gaza Government Media Office reported that Israeli occupation forces have detonated more than 80 booby-trapped robots in the heart of residential neighborhoods over the past three weeks.
The office emphasized that more than one million Palestinians in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip refuse to move south despite evacuation orders.
The statement accused Israeli forces of committing “serious and systematic crimes” against the Palestinian population, in what it described as blatant violations of international law and international humanitarian law.
These include targeting unarmed civilians, including women and children, and forcibly pushing residents toward mass displacement—actions the office labeled as a complete act of forced deportation.
The use of booby-trapped robots, the office said, is part of a scorched-earth policy employed during ground operations against civilian populations and urban areas, causing large-scale destruction of homes and property while endangering civilian lives.
Starvation as a Weapon of War
According to the statement, Israel continues to commit the “crime of starvation” against more than 2.4 million people in Gaza, including over one million in Gaza City and the north, by deliberately blocking the entry of food and water in clear violation of Article 54 of Additional Protocol I to the Geneva Conventions.
The office reported that this policy has resulted in at least 332 deaths from hunger, including 124 children, and is accompanied by the systematic destruction of the remaining healthcare system and deliberate targeting of essential civilian infrastructure, aiming to eliminate the possibility of normal life.
Defiance and International Call to Action
The statement reaffirmed that more than one million Palestinians remain in Gaza City, refusing to yield to what it described as Israel’s policy of forced displacement and ethnic cleansing. It praised the “legendary steadfastness” of the population in the face of Israel’s military campaign.
The Gaza Government Media Office condemned the ongoing Israeli attacks on civilians and held both Israel and the United States fully responsible for what it called an “ongoing genocide.”
It urged the international community, including all relevant institutions and bodies, to take immediate and effective action to stop the crimes, end the mass killings, protect civilians, and hold Israeli leaders accountable before international courts. (PW)
