Israel Admits 26,200 Troops Injured in Gaza War, Majority Suffer Psychological Disorders
According to the ministry, 65% of the wounded—around 17,000 personnel—are suffering from psychological disorders, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
Palestine, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The Israeli Ministry of War acknowledged on Thursday that approximately 26,200 personnel from the Israeli occupation army and security forces have received medical treatment since the start of the war on Gaza.
According to the ministry, 65% of the wounded—around 17,000 personnel—are suffering from psychological disorders, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), while 7,700 sustained physical injuries, including 97 amputations.
However, the actual figures remain subject to strict Israeli military censorship, raising questions about the credibility of the published statistics and suggesting that the real number of casualties may be significantly higher.
The ministry released the figures as the war reached its 1,000th day.

Reserve Soldiers Account for Most Casualties
The ministry stated that 62% of the injured are reserve soldiers, while 21% are conscripts, 10% are police personnel, and 7% are career military personnel.
It added that 92% of the wounded are men. Nearly 48% are under the age of 30, 30% are between 30 and 39 years old, and 22% are over 40.
Injured Personnel Expected to Exceed 90,000
The Ministry of War projected that the number of Israeli occupation military and security personnel receiving treatment through its Rehabilitation Department will exceed 90,000 by the end of 2026 and approach 100,000 by 2028.
It estimates that nearly 50,000 of those cases will involve psychological injuries.
The ministry also said it has expanded rehabilitation services since the war began by increasing the number of mental health specialists to around 4,000, four times the pre-war level, while tripling the number of rehabilitation centers.
Official Death Toll and Questions Over Transparency
According to the latest figures released by the Israeli occupation army, 964 officers and soldiers have been killed and 6,424 wounded since the beginning of the war on Gaza.
Israel imposes strict military censorship on information related to its human and material losses during military operations, leading many observers to question whether the published figures reflect the full extent of the casualties.
The announcement comes as the war marks its 1,000th day. According to Palestinian figures, the Israeli aggression has resulted in the martyrdom of more than 73,000 Palestinians and injured over 173,000, while causing widespread destruction across the Gaza Strip. (PW)

I always thought that all IDF troops had the same psychological problem common to all Zionists. It’s called racism and racism leads to genocidal behavior. It seems that a far greater number of troops should be having these psychological problems.
Of course you have to have a conscience to suffer moral injury.
