IRGC: Iran Shoots Down Third Enemy F-16 Fighter Jet
Iran downs third hostile F-16 and intercepts 200+ aerial threats, while targeting F-35 using undisclosed indigenous air defense systems.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that a third hostile enemy fighter jet was struck in the skies over central Iran.
According to an official statement by the IRGC Public Relations Office, the third hostile fighter aircraft belonging to the Zionist regime, identified as an F-16, was hit at 3:45 a.m. in central Iran by advanced air defense systems of the IRGC Aerospace Force.
The successful interception and destruction of more than 200 aerial targets—including drones, cruise missiles, refueling aircraft, and advanced enemy fighter jets—during the first three weeks of the war demonstrates a significant increase in Iran’s capability to detect and track aggressors in its airspace and across the region, as well as the strengthening of the country’s air defense shield.
Iran Targets F-35 with Indigenous Air Defense
A military source stated that Iran also targeted an F-35 using domestically developed air defense systems.
The source said that the engagement of the American F-35—previously presented by the United States as a symbol of its military technological superiority—was carried out using indigenous Iranian air defense capabilities.
He noted that Iran has not yet unveiled parts of its offensive and defensive military technologies, which has caused confusion among American and Israeli forces.
The source added that U.S. and Israeli analysts, after examining various air defense systems in advanced countries, had believed that no system was capable of targeting and striking the F-35. However, they were left stunned by Iran’s unknown, domestically developed systems.
He emphasized that in the coming days, new capabilities will be revealed to the enemy, and with each passing day of this imposed war, the technological claims of the enemy will face increasing humiliation. (PW)
