IRGC Intercepts US F-35 and Advanced Drones Over Iranian Airspace
Iran’s air defense units forced American war assets to retreat after detecting hostile aerial incursions over the Persian Gulf
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that its air defense units intercepted and confronted multiple American aerial assets, including an F-35 stealth fighter jet and advanced US surveillance drones, after they violated Iranian airspace over the Persian Gulf.
According to a statement released by the IRGC Public Relations Office, the “terrorist US military” continued what Iran described as provocative and interventionist actions in the region by sending military aircraft into Iranian territorial airspace.
The statement said IRGC defense units successfully detected and destroyed an MQ-9 drone following precise intelligence monitoring operations conducted to defend Iran’s territorial sovereignty.
IRGC forced US F-35 and RQ-4 drone to retreat
The IRGC further announced that Iranian defense systems engaged an RQ-4 reconnaissance drone and an intruding F-35 stealth fighter, forcing both aircraft to flee and withdraw from Iranian airspace.
According to the statement, the interception operation demonstrated the high readiness and operational capability of Iran’s integrated air defense network amid continued regional tensions and repeated American military provocations.
The IRGC emphasized that the Islamic Republic remains fully prepared to respond to any violation of Iranian sovereignty.
Iran warns against violating the ceasefire
In its statement, the IRGC warned the United States against any future violations of the ceasefire and stressed that Iran considers reciprocal military action against aggression to be both legitimate and certain.
The statement reaffirmed that Iranian armed forces would respond decisively to any hostile action targeting the country’s security, territorial integrity, or strategic interests.
Senior Iranian commander warns of harsher retaliation
Meanwhile, Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, senior spokesperson for the Iranian Armed Forces, stated in an interview with Al Jazeera that the Islamic Republic is fully prepared for another war if attacked by the United States or the Zionist regime.
According to Shekarchi, Iran has already identified its target bank and prepared new military scenarios for any future confrontation.
“If we are attacked again, our strikes will be more intense, heavier, stronger, and far more severe than in the previous wars,” he warned.
Brigadier General Shekarchi further warned that if Iran’s exports are blocked during another conflict, the Islamic Republic would prevent oil from leaving the region altogether.
He also warned that if Washington and Tel Aviv target Iran’s critical infrastructure, the Islamic Republic would retaliate by destroying strategic infrastructure across the region. (PW)
