IRGC Condemns Drone Attack on the Kurdistan Region President’s Residence
Tehran denounces the attack in Duhok as terrorism, warning it threatens regional stability and pledging stronger collective security cooperation.
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has condemned a drone attack targeting the residence of the President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq in Duhok.
According to Statement No. 49 of Operation True Promise IV issued by the IRGC Public Relations Office, the drone strike constitutes a terrorist act carried out by aggressor enemies.
The statement noted that similar actions have recently been witnessed in the assassination of senior Iranian officials and civilians by what it described as U.S. and Zionist terrorist forces.
Warning of Regional Destabilization
The IRGC stated that such terrorist acts reflect the malicious efforts of war-instigating enemies to undermine peace, stability, and regional cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and neighboring countries.
The Corps strongly condemned the attack and reaffirmed its readiness to support and defend the security of neighboring states. It emphasized the importance of enhancing security cooperation and establishing a collective regional defense framework to confront what it described as hostile actions by U.S. forces and the Zionist regime.
