IRGC Commander Warns of Firm Response to Any Hostile Naval Move
Major General Pakpour says IRGC Navy fully prepared to confront threats in the Persian Gulf
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Forces, Major General Mohammad Pakpour, has cautioned that any hostile or “wrong move” by enemies in the Persian Gulf will trigger a powerful response from the IRGC Navy.
During an inspection tour on Sunday, Major General Pakpour visited several Iranian islands in the Persian Gulf to assess the combat readiness of IRGC naval units stationed there.
He described the preparedness level of operational forces as “high”, emphasizing that the IRGC Navy is fully equipped and ready to counter any enemy action in the region.
“The IRGC Navy is equipped and prepared to counter any action from the enemy,” he stated during his address to naval personnel.
The commander personally observed the sailing of an American warship in the Gulf during the visit, underscoring Iran’s active monitoring of foreign naval presence in its territorial waters.
Echoes of Past Victories
Highlighting the Iranian Armed Forces’ resilience, Major General Pakpour referred to the 12-day war of aggression imposed against Iran last June, noting that the country’s forces managed to “bring the United States and the Zionist regime to their knees.”
He warned,
“If the enemies make any move at sea or near the Iranian islands, the IRGC Navy will respond with complete preparedness.”
Pakpour’s remarks, echoing both strategic confidence and deterrent intent, were widely interpreted as a signal to Washington and Tel Aviv amid rising regional tensions.
Faith and Determination as Strategic Assets
Commending the troops’ high morale, General Pakpour said the Iranian forces’ strength lies not only in weaponry but in “bravery and spiritual determination.”
He praised the faith and devotion of the IRGC personnel, calling it the “major factor that frightens the enemies the most.”
The commander’s visit follows a series of high-level inspections across Iran’s southern defense zones, reflecting Tehran’s continued emphasis on maritime deterrence and sovereignty protection in the Persian Gulf — a key transit route for global energy supplies and a theater of frequent U.S. military presence.
