IRGC: A Black Day for U.S. and Israeli Air Forces in Iranian Skies
Iran’s air defenses shoot down fighter jet, MQ-9 drones, and cruise missiles in coordinated interceptions across multiple regions
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced a major air defense success, describing the downing of one fighter jet and five aerial assets as “a black day” for the U.S. and Israeli air forces.
According to an official statement, Iran’s air defenders engaged in a decisive and enduring battle, successfully intercepting and destroying multiple hostile aerial threats across different regions of the country.
IRGC Aerospace Defense units reportedly intercepted:
Two cruise missiles over Khomein and Zanjan
Two MQ-9 attack drones over Isfahan
One Hermes drone over Bushehr
All targets were detected and neutralized using advanced indigenous air defense systems operating under Iran’s integrated national air defense network.
The statement further confirmed that an advanced hostile fighter jet was also successfully shot down in central Iran.
The IRGC emphasized that with sustained vigilance, precision, and persistence, Iran’s airspace is becoming increasingly unsafe for hostile aircraft, signaling a tightening defensive grip against further incursions.
Khatam Spokesperson: U.S. and Israeli Regime Under Crushing Iranian Strikes
The downing of hostile aircraft coincides with a broader wave of Iranian operations targeting U.S. and Israeli assets across the region.
According to Brigadier General Ebrahim Zolfaqari, spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, the strikes were carried out as part of Wave 91 and Wave 92 of Operation True Promise IV, in coordination with allied forces.
The operations targeted military sites and strategic infrastructure linked to U.S. and Israeli forces, including positions in Tel Aviv and Eilat, as well as assets across the southern Persian Gulf.
Among the key developments:
A covert gathering of U.S. pilots and flight engineers in the UAE was struck with ballistic missiles.
U.S. amphibious assets at Shuwaikh Port in Kuwait were targeted
A long-range radar system in Bahrain was destroyed in a drone strike
The Ramat David Airbase near Haifa was hit by ballistic missiles
In parallel, Iranian Army drone strikes targeted U.S. facilities in Jordan, armored deployments in Kuwait, and industrial infrastructure in Bahrain.
The operations also extended to technology-linked infrastructure, with reported strikes on cloud facilities associated with American companies in the UAE.
Taken together, the developments point to a widening, multi-front escalation, where defensive success inside Iran is unfolding alongside sustained offensive pressure across the region. (PW)
