Iran’s Strength Forces Enemy to Seek Ceasefire: Ayatollah Khamenei
Leader of the Islamic Revolution says Iran’s deterrent power compels adversaries to retreat, as Washington escalates threats and interference
IRAN | PUREWILAYAH.COM — The Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, declared that the power, resilience, and steadfastness of the Iranian nation are what force the enemy to seek a ceasefire and avoid direct confrontation with the Islamic Republic.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Sayyed Khamenei stressed that the enemy’s shift from open aggression to requests for de-escalation is not the result of diplomacy, but a direct consequence of Iran’s strategic deterrence and national strength.
“What makes the enemy first request a ceasefire during the [12-day] war with the Iranian nation, then send messages saying he doesn’t want to fight us?” Sayyed Khamenei wrote in a post on X.
He emphasized that this retreat reflects the enemy’s recognition of Iran’s firm resolve and capacity to respond decisively.
Enemy Retreats Under Pressure, Not Goodwill
Sayyed Khamenei warned against misreading the enemy’s changing tone, stressing that calls for ceasefire never stem from sincerity.
“Of course, the malicious enemy is a deceiving liar, and we do not trust them,” he stated.
The remark underscores Iran’s long-standing strategic doctrine: permanent vigilance toward Western deception, particularly by the United States and the Zionist regime, which have repeatedly used diplomacy as a tactical pause before renewed pressure or aggression.
United States Escalates Open Threats Against Iran
The statement comes amid intensifying threats from the United States. US President Donald Trump has openly threatened to “hit” Iran “hard,” cynically using Iran’s handling of riots as a pretext to justify potential aggression.
This rhetoric follows a familiar pattern of American interference, in which Washington exploits internal economic challenges to advance hostile political and military agendas against sovereign states.
Iranian officials have consistently distinguished between:
legitimate economic protests, and
foreign-backed riots aimed at spreading chaos and undermining national stability.
Regime-Change Rhetoric: A Coordinated US–Israeli Agenda
American and Israeli officials and lawmakers are increasingly openly advocating regime change in Iran, coinciding with limited protests by shopkeepers in several cities over inflation and economic pressure.
Western media and political circles have seized upon these demonstrations to promote a false narrative of a “collapsing Iran,” despite the continued functioning of state institutions and the country’s overall stability.
Tehran Condemns US Interference as Hypocritical and Provocative
In an official statement, Iran’s Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the interventionist remarks by the US president and other American officials regarding Iran’s internal affairs.
Tehran described the statements as:
irresponsible,
hypocritical, and
deliberately aimed at misleading global public opinion.
The ministry stated that US claims of “sympathy with the great Iranian nation” are pure deception, intended to whitewash Washington’s long record of crimes against Iranians.
Iran Calls on the UN to Confront US Unilateral Aggression
Iran urged the United Nations, including the Security Council and the General Assembly, to fulfill their legal and moral responsibilities in confronting belligerent American unilateralism and blatant disregard for international law.
Tehran warned that silence in the face of US threats and interference amounts to complicity in the erosion of international norms and national sovereignty.
Sayyed Khamenei’s message delivers a clear strategic conclusion:
Iran does not seek war, but it will never be intimidated into submission.
The strength of the Iranian nation has already forced the enemy to retreat, confirming that the era of unchecked American coercion is rapidly coming to an end. (PW)
