Iran’s Stark Warning to US: Any Attack on Supreme Leader Means All-Out War
President Pezeshkian warns that targeting the Leader would trigger comprehensive war on the Iranian people, as US military buildup continues and Israeli calculations falter
Iran | PUREWILAYAH.COM — As the United States continues to funnel military reinforcements into the region, Iran has drawn a clear and unequivocal red line. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian declared on Sunday that any targeting of the country’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, would constitute an “all-out war against the Iranian people.”
Pezeshkian’s statement came one day after US President Donald Trump openly called for searching for a new leadership for the Islamic Republic.
The remarks followed Ayatollah Khamenei’s direct statement that the United States and Israel are involved in supporting acts of sabotage and killing inside Iran, and that Trump personally has interfered in Iranian affairs, threatened the Iranian people, and incited seditionists—labeling him a “criminal.”
US Military Buildup Continues as Trump Hesitates
While Trump has yet to finalize his next move toward Iran, reports indicate that the US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln continues its course toward West Asia and is expected to arrive in the coming days.
Unconfirmed information also suggests that the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz departed its main port on the 16th of this month and is likewise heading toward the region.
Other sources have noted an increased presence of US combat aircraft and support assets, including transport planes and aerial refueling aircraft, signaling a sustained military buildup despite the absence of a declared decision.
Israeli Assessments: US Forces Insufficient for Regime Change
Israeli security institutions have assessed that US forces currently deployed in the region are insufficient to carry out a military operation aimed at overthrowing the Iranian system. This assessment was reported by sources speaking to the Israeli Broadcasting Authority.
The same sources indicated that Tel Aviv currently prefers delaying any limited US military strike against the Islamic Republic, instead preparing for a broader attack at a later stage.
In the same context, Israel’s Kan channel cited sources stating that Trump is still weighing the option of launching a military strike against Iran, but that his final decision depends on the trajectory of communications with Tehran and the operational objectives of any potential military move.
The outlet Axios reported, citing sources, that Trump’s decision not to strike Tehran stemmed from the inadequacy of military equipment in the region and warnings from allies. This came after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu informed Trump that Tel Aviv is not prepared to defend itself against a potential Iranian response.
Iranian Judiciary Vows Firm Response to Western-Backed Sabotage
As officials in the Trump administration continue to speak about commitments from Tehran regarding the non-execution of protesters, Iran’s judiciary has issued a firm warning that it will decisively confront those who incited unrest and chaos in the country.
Judiciary spokesperson Asghar Jahangir stated that “the recent events in the country were not merely disturbances or protests, but terrorist acts driven by Western states.” He confirmed that several armed rioters had been arrested, some of whom were identified as agents of the Israeli Mossad.
The statements underscore Tehran’s position that the unrest was part of a coordinated campaign of destabilization backed by foreign powers, and that Iran will defend its sovereignty, leadership, and national security without compromise. (PW)
