Iran’s Security Chief Larijani Holds Talks with Sheikh Qassem in Beirut
Larijani reaffirmed Iran’s full support for Lebanon and its Resistance, emphasizing that this commitment follows the directives of Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
Lebanon, PUREWILAYAH.COM – Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, Sheikh Naim Qassem, met with Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, during his visit to Lebanon marking the anniversary of the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and his successor Sayyed Hashem Safieddine.
According to Hezbollah’s Media Relations office, Larijani reaffirmed Iran’s full support for Lebanon and its Resistance, emphasizing that this commitment follows the directives of Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei.
He stated that Iran is prepared to provide assistance at all levels to strengthen Lebanon’s sovereignty and resistance against external threats.
Sheikh Qassem expressed gratitude to the Islamic Republic of Iran — its leadership, government, and people — for their condolences following the martyrdom of the two Sayyids and other Resistance martyrs, as well as for Iran’s continued solidarity and support.
Sheikh Qassem: Lebanon Stands Firm Against U.S.-Israeli Threats
Sheikh Qassem stressed that Lebanon remains steadfast in the face of U.S.-Israeli pressures, noting that the Lebanese people are deeply committed to liberation and independence.
“Those who see the stance of the brave, patient people will believe that victory is on their side in the face of the Israeli enemy,” Qassem said.
He further emphasized Hezbollah’s openness to dialogue and cooperation with all parties opposing Israel, describing the Israeli entity as a danger to nations, governments, and resistance movements alike.
He concluded by expressing his conviction that Israel’s aggressive policies will ultimately end in disgrace when confronted by the steadfastness of the Resistance.
Larijani: Hezbollah Is Strong and Self-Sufficient
In a speech delivered from Ain el-Tineh, Larijani highlighted Hezbollah’s pivotal role as a protector of the Lebanese people.
“Hezbollah is a fortress for the Lebanese people, and we welcome any political development that supports them,” he said.
He described the Resistance as a vital asset for the Islamic nation, singling out Hezbollah as “an impregnable barrier against Israel.” He also praised the legacy of the late Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, noting that he had long identified the threat posed by Israel and developed comprehensive strategies to confront it.
Addressing questions about Iranian arms transfers, Larijani clarified: “Hezbollah does not need weapons from anyone. It is strong enough that it does not need to acquire weapons from elsewhere.”
A Shared Commitment to Resistance
The meeting underscored the deep ties between Iran and Hezbollah, with both sides reiterating their shared commitment to resisting Israeli aggression.
The visit of Ali Larijani on this significant anniversary highlighted not only historical bonds but also the ongoing alignment between Tehran and Beirut in confronting regional challenges. (PW)
