Ebrahim Azizi declares U.S. presence illegitimate as Iran’s Kharg Island stands firm despite threats and ongoing pressure
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of Iran’s Parliament, Ebrahim Azizi, said that the United States must clarify its position and understand that it has no place in this region.
Kharg Island: Symbol of Strength and Oil Power
From Kharg Island, Azizi made the remarks at noon today on the sidelines of a visit by several members of the Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee.
He stated that Kharg is one of the most unique economic opportunities and the frontline of Iran’s oil industry, adding that Kharg Island is a symbol of the strength of the oil sector and resistance.
He emphasized that ensuring the security of the Persian Gulf waterways and neighboring countries can only be achieved through the departure of foreign forces.
He said that enemies, in their delusional assumptions, believed that through threats, intimidation, and psychological warfare they could inflict even the slightest damage on the workers of this sector.
However, not only have the threatening actions of the Israeli regime and the United States caused no disruption to operations, but the oil industry is now more prepared than before for storage, loading, and sales operations.
The head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of Parliament continued that what was observed today on Kharg Island reflects the readiness, determination, belief, and courage of the oil industry.
People, Armed Forces, and Industry Stand Together
He stressed that the Iranian people should be assured that their sons in the oil industry are fully prepared to carry out their duties in the best possible way.
He recalled that Kharg Island is home to a significant portion of the brave people of Bushehr Province, a land that has recorded a distinguished history in the struggle against colonialism and arrogance.
Azizi stated that the people of this region live calmly and with full confidence alongside oil facilities and, together with the armed forces, spare no effort in defending the country’s territorial integrity.
Referring to the powerful presence of the armed forces on the island, he emphasized that the armed forces are at the peak of strength and authority, and the people stand shoulder to shoulder with these forces and alongside the oil industry, making every effort to advance the country’s objectives.
No Place for Foreign Forces in the Region
The head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of Parliament stressed that everyone here stands together in defense of territorial integrity. The United States must determine its position and understand that it has no place in this region.
He added that the only way to achieve lasting security in the Persian Gulf is the withdrawal of foreign and extra-regional forces.
Azizi concluded that Kharg Island is a valuable point for the Islamic Republic of Iran, where the people, officials, armed forces, and industry work together in performing their duties, and their shared message to the world is that Kharg Island is no place for the enemy. (PW)
