Iranian Shipping Flows Uninterrupted — US “Blockade” Falls Flat
US claims of a naval blockade fall flat as Iranian vessels operate normally, with tankers crossing Hormuz freely and no disruption reported
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM - Despite U.S. claims of a blockade on Iran’s ports, the country’s maritime transport is proceeding without disruption and according to schedule.
Tasnim reported, based on information from informed sources in the shipping and southern ports sector, that contrary to U.S. claims of a naval blockade, Iran’s maritime transport continues normally and without interruption.
According to the information obtained, Iranian commercial vessels over the past 24 hours have departed according to planned schedules toward various destinations across the world, and export and import operations through the country’s ports remain ongoing.
Maritime transport sector activists stated that this reflects the resilience of Iran’s shipping network and the continued operation of its ports under current conditions.
Iranian Oil Tanker “Alicia” Also Passed Through the Strait of Hormuz
Despite threats of a naval blockade, the sanctioned Iranian oil tanker “Alicia,” carrying crude oil, successfully passed through the Strait of Hormuz and the waterway under Iranian supervision between Hormuz and Larak islands.
This route is operating as a toll corridor for commercial vessels, and the tanker passed through it without encountering any particular obstacles.
This comes as the United States claims to have imposed a naval blockade on the Strait of Hormuz; however, the passage of this tanker indicates that such claims have not been realized in practice.
Previously, two other Iranian vessels had also passed through the Strait of Hormuz.
CNN had also reported that despite the U.S. naval blockade, nine oil tankers passed through the Strait of Hormuz. (PW)
