Iranian General: Any New Aggression Will Be Met With a Harsher and Broader Response
Senior Iranian military spokesman says the Islamic Republic is fully prepared for war, warning that any new aggression by the US or Israel will trigger a broader and far more devastating retaliation
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, senior spokesperson for the Iranian Armed Forces, warned that any new aggression by the United States or the Zionist regime would trigger a much harsher and broader response from the Islamic Republic, stressing that Iran is fully prepared for war and has already identified its targets.
In a wide-ranging interview with Al Jazeera, the senior Iranian military spokesman stated that Iran’s armed forces, diplomatic institutions, and popular resistance fronts are operating in full coordination as the Islamic Republic confronts escalating threats from Washington and Tel Aviv.
“We will determine how the war ends”
The senior Iranian commander emphasized that the Islamic Republic has never initiated wars, but warned that Iran will determine the outcome of any future confrontation imposed upon it.
“We have repeatedly stated that we will never be the initiators of war, but we will determine how it ends,” Brigadier General Shekarchi said.
He added that if the United States and the Zionist regime failed to learn from the previous wars against Iran, they would face consequences far more devastating than before.
“If they make another mistake, they must know that the blows delivered by the Iranian Armed Forces and the Iranian people will be far more intense, harsher, more violent, and more powerful than in the previous wars,” the senior military spokesman warned.
Iran says the US and Israel suffered defeat
Brigadier General Shekarchi stressed that neither Washington nor Tel Aviv achieved any victory during the recent wars against Iran and the Resistance Front.
“The Americans cannot claim even a single victory,” he declared.
According to the senior Iranian military spokesman, the Zionist regime suffered extensive destruction throughout the occupied territories, with military bases, airports, refineries, and security facilities coming under heavy Iranian strikes.
He stated that the Zionist regime no longer possesses “a single intact military base or port” following the recent confrontations.
Brigadier General Shekarchi also stated that Israel suffered approximately 1,800 killed and 9,000 wounded during the previous war and is now facing severe economic, psychological, and military crises.
“No American interests will remain”
The senior Iranian commander warned that if Washington and Tel Aviv launch another war, no American military, economic, or strategic interests in the region would remain secure.
“If the enemy intends to continue its threats, nothing will remain of its military forces, interests, or investments in the region,” Brigadier General Shekarchi warned.
He added that Iran is implementing its strategic plans “step by step” and stressed that if Iranian oil exports are blocked, no oil would leave the region.
“We believe that if Iran’s oil exports are stopped, then no oil will be exported from the region,” he stated.
Iran warns strategic infrastructure could become targets in future war
Responding to threats made by US President Donald Trump regarding attacks on Iran’s critical facilities, Brigadier General Shekarchi warned that the Islamic Republic would retaliate against strategic infrastructure linked to the American-Zionist alliance across the region.
“If the essential and vital infrastructure of the Islamic Republic is targeted by the Americans and the Zionist regime, then no strategic infrastructure in the region — or even beyond it — will remain untouched,” the senior Iranian military spokesman warned.
He stressed that Iran considers such targets legitimate in the event of war.
Iran rejects accusations against neighboring countries
Brigadier General Shekarchi also addressed accusations from some regional states claiming Iran targeted neighboring countries during recent conflicts.
The senior Iranian commander rejected those claims and stressed that Tehran has never violated, and will never violate, the sovereignty of neighboring states.
However, he warned that regional governments must not allow the United States to use their territory, military bases, or airspace for attacks against Iran.
“If the Americans did not have access to the territory and airspace of regional countries, they would have left the region without war,” he stated.
According to Brigadier General Shekarchi, the presence of American military bases remains the primary source of instability and economic insecurity in West Asia.
Iran vows firm control over the Strait of Hormuz
Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, Brigadier General Shekarchi emphasized that Iran will continue managing the strategic waterway firmly in order to preserve security, international trade, and regional economic stability.
The senior Iranian military spokesman stressed that the Islamic Republic will defend its interests “with full power” and ensure that the benefits of regional trade belong to Muslim nations and Islamic countries rather than foreign powers. (PW)
