Iranian Army Targets U.S. Fighter Jet Base in Jordan with Drone Strike
Al-Azraq Air Base struck in a drone operation targeting U.S. advanced fighter jet deployment and aiming to weaken American air combat capability in West Asia
Iran, PUREWILAYAH.COM — The Iranian Army (Artesh) announced a drone strike targeting the deployment site of advanced U.S. fighter jets at Al-Azraq Air Base in Jordan.
According to Statement No. 52 released by the Armed Forces, the operation was carried out from the early hours of the day.
“From the early hours of today, the positions of advanced fighter jets of the American terrorist army at Al-Azraq base in Jordan were targeted by our drone strikes,” the statement said.
Strategic Base Targeted
The Iranian Army described Al-Azraq as a key U.S. military hub in West Asia.
“Al-Azraq Air Base is one of the most important strategic and command centers of the American aggressor forces in West Asia,” the statement noted.
It added that the base plays a central role in directing advanced fighter jets and operating reconnaissance and offensive drones against Iran and resistance forces.
Operation Aimed at Reducing Enemy Capability
According to the statement, the strike was designed to weaken U.S. airpower.
“The base was targeted by destructive drones with the aim of reducing the enemy’s air combat capability,” it said.
The Iranian Army emphasized its continued commitment to defense and retaliation.
“The Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran stands firm… to defend the proud Islamic Iran and to avenge the blood of every martyr,” the statement declared.
It added:
“With the support and steadfastness of the people… we will certainly make the enemy regret its actions.” (PW)
